50 years today -The 747 prototype, RA001, rolled out of Boeing's Everett factory on September 30th, 1968. It was the first twin-aisle airplane, with more than double the capacity of the largest commercial craft at the time.

It lives on at The Museum of Flight, just south of Seattle.
