SUSPECT ARRESTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE AND FOOT PURSUIT

On November 28, BCSO and SAPD HIDTA covert units worked in conjunction to arrest Thomas Wentworth, 48, who had active felony warrants for evading arrest and family violence.

After units discovered Wentworth was reportedly in the area of US Hwy 90 and Military Dr, he was located at a stop light at the intersection of US Hwy 90 and 36th St.

While at the light, a traffic stop was initiated, however, Wentworth accelerated away from deputies ensuing a pursuit.

Deputies began to chase the suspect onto the Eastbound lanes of US Hwy 90, when Wentworth drove into oncoming traffic and hit a vehicle (no injuries occurred).

The chase continued onto General McMullen, where he did a U-turn and continued to US Hwy 90 W.

Eventually, Wentworth drove onto Castroville Rd and pulled into an apartment complex, where he fled on foot.

Deputies chased Wentworth and was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Back at the scene of the abandoned vehicle, deputies discovered a slew of illegal items:

9 mm semi-automatic pistol
Pistol to rifle conversion kit
A high capacity ammunition drum
6 grams of methamphetamine
Clear plastic baggies
Digital scale

Thomas Wentworth was subsequently arrested on his warrants, as well as four onsite charges:

Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance PG 1
Felon in possession of a firearm
Assault- public servant
Evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, 2nd

New charge added on to robbery suspect after she assaulted a 61 year old male she met on a sugar daddy website

Yesterday afternoon, Sheriff Javier Salazar gave a press conference on a 26-year-old woman, Kaley Renae Medina, who assaulted and robbed a 61-year-old male that she met through a sugar daddy website.

She was arrested for robbery initially, however, she has had two additional charges added onto her booking-a DWI active warrant and a new charge for continuous violence against family.

Medina had asked the 61 year old male for $2,000, and when the male told her he did not have that kind of money, she began to assault him.

She poured laundry detergent on his head, causing chemical burns in his eyes. While he was incapacitated, she stole several belongings from his household, including his passport ID, an iPad, a hairdryer, and other items. During her tirade, she also destroyed the victim’s property inside his home including a TV and several walls. As a result of this assault, she was arrested for continuous family violence due to a previous family violence incident.

Yesterday the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of E Houston St on the east side of San Antonio.

The home which has been raided on three separate occasions by law enforcement, was found previously with narcotics and fi****ms. Upon BCSO executing the search warrant a total of 10 individuals were detained later discovered to be documented gang members. We have been in contact with the property owner, but we are also still considering the possibility of pursuing demolition of the house. We intend to bring some peace to the area once and for all.”

Among those arrested yesterday were:
