In today's Youth vs. Shaykh Ping-Pong showdown, we had first Dad-Son duo teams compete each other, followed by one-on-one competition of all the young participants against Shaykh Umer Ansari.

Br. Ahmed became the prize winner by defeating the Shaykh. However, everyone got to participate in the pizza party with Ice-cream.

✨ 𝟕 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐒𝐀 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐛 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬 ✨

1. 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒔. Students are challenged according to their age and level to the best articulation of the Qur’an ( _makhārij & tajwīd_) and the comprehension of Islamic Studies (Fiqh, Seerah, History, and Adab).

2. 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. While students compete in a healthy manner, they also learn to support their batch mates, creating a communal learning experience.

3. 𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒅/𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒅. They get to make new friends working towards a shared goal. Pizza parties and ice cream socials allow the students to get to know each other.

4.𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒎 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒚. Our maktab students in multiple surveys shared with us that they became proud as Muslims and they began to proudly identify as Muslims at their schools!

5. 𝑻𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒊𝒚𝒂𝒉 (𝑨𝒅𝒂𝒃 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑬𝒕𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒖𝒎). NICSA Maktab prides itself on working hard to instill tarbiyah in its students through encouragement, rewards program, and recognition. Because Islamic learning begins with correct tarbiyah.

6. 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 & 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒚. With both Imams and the 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐔𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚, along with volunteer teachers, NICSA offers great student-teacher experience that is important and conducive for learning and growth.
