Please join us and the community tomorrow to celebrate Ullambana, one of Buddhism’s most holy and important holidays of the year honoring our parents and ancestors.

Opening ceremony will begin at 10am with opening remarks, ceremony introduction, flower dances, dharma talks, chanting, and pinning of the roses. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to a free vegetarian lunch.

Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without. Reflect, meditate, and connect with your inner Buddha.

Phuoc Hue Buddhist Temple of San Antonio would like to invite you to this year’s Ullambana Ceremony on Sunday, August 18 at 10am. Ullambana is one of the most important Buddhist holidays to celebrate and honor our parents and ancestors.

Again, this year we will also be including Ancestral Tablets (mini “Ancestral Shrines”) for our beloved deceased. These mini shrines will include the deceased’s name, date of birth, and date of death. You may pledge $10 for each tablet. All names will be included in the prayer and transfer of merit that is chanted by the Venerable Abbot.

Another wonderful and successful One-Day Eight Precepts Retreat! This retreat’s focus was on Bodhicitta and the Bodhisattva Path. The Sangha was honored for the teachings by Most Venerable Abbot Thích Phuoc Quang and Venerable Thích Quang Trí.

Venerable Quang Trí will give a full summary of the Six Dharma Gates to the Sublime that he has been covering the last few months. This last class will conclude the meditation classes for the summer break and will return in September.
