A Level 1.5 Instructor Training Workshop will be held in Kern County for those interested in becoming certified for the rifle discipline. Upon successful completion of the workshop, 4-H Adult Volunteers will be certified as a Level 1.5 Rifle Instructor, which allows them to lead a project or serve as a trainer to certify other project leaders in their county. Teen Leaders (high school age 4-H members) are eligible to participate provided there is an adult leader in their home county they will be assisting. Upon successful completion of the workshop, Teen Leaders will be certified as a Level 1 Rifle Instructor with a Teen Leader designation. Teen Leaders are not eligible to lead shooting sports projects or activities on their own.

There is no fee for the course and all materials are included. Air rifles will be provided for use in the course. There is no need to bring your own rifle. Participants must attend both days to receive credit for this course. Registration for the workshop must be completed online by Wednesday, June 19th at the following survey link:
