Yo marcho con Diane Guerrero. She is not only a well-known actress (Jane the Virgin, Orange is the New Black, Encanto) but also an advocate for immigration reform. At the age of 14, her parents and older brother were deported back to Colombia. She encourages me to continue to support our undocumented student population, and shine light on individuals experience.
Yo marcho con mi abuela y mami for paving the way for me and my daughter. And the generations after us. They have taught me what hard work and dedication look like. Mi mama has always said to me, “todo parece impossible hasta que esta hecho”. (everything seems impossible until it’s done)
PDC Grad Day! Thank you to all who stopped by the ALFSS table to receive more info about the 2022 Spring LatinX Grad. Registration opens next week. Save the Date: Saturday, May 14th at 10AM
Yo marcho con mi mamá, Genevieve. My mom has taught me how to be strong and independent woman. She has accomplished so much and inspires me to do my best and more each day. I am grateful to have a mom so beautiful and strong and I proudly march with her every day!
Yo marcho con Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC is a strong presence in Congress and advocates for human rights for the underprivileged and mistreated. AOC inspires me and many other women to stand up and fight for what we believe in. I am proud to have a role model that is revolutionary such as AOC who is motivating many young women to pursue their dreams.
