GlobeMed at CSUSB
We envision a world in which health – the ability to not only survive but thrive – is possible for all people, regardless of where they call home.
We pair each university-based GlobeMed chapter with a unique organization already improving the health of its community. Year after year, these students and grassroots leaders collaborate on projects that deepen and expand the organization's impact. The Result: organizations with a greater capacity to serve their community and a generation of young people equipped to transform the world. GlobeMed

Sarah, a mother of 5, demonstrating her innovative washing station she built at home after learning about hygiene & sanitation practices through the Gardens for Health nutrition program.
Sarah has also been able to grow extra crops which she sells in town; her family uses the money to pay their children's school fees.
Sarah proudly gave us a tour of her home & gardens, and showed us how she was implementing what she'd learned in the program. She is an inspiration!
..and did I mention she gave us g-nuts? 💘
Meet Katherine & her two year old twins, Agnes & Mathias.
Katherine lives with her family of six in Migyera, a rural semi-arid region in central Uganda.
Since enrolling in the Gardens for Health program, she has enjoyed learning about proper nutrition for her children, how to care for her home and improve hygiene, and improved gardening techniques.
After our interview, Katherine gave us a tour of her gardens, and sent us away with jackfruit and fresh g-nuts, two of my favorite Ugandan foods!
Andrew, 1 of 6 staff at the Nabbingo parish health clinic gave us a tour today and explained the clinic conditions. On average they see 600-700 patients a month, most commonly for malaria testing & treatment. While the clinic has 4 sick beds, it's not enough space to treat all their patients; Andrew says expansion is a top priority for the clinic.
