What an incredible Dinosaur Story! Truly a Fantastic World we live in ❤️

In a dusty badlands in New Mexico, paleontologists have unearthed the remains of a never-before-seen dinosaur. Suskityrannus hazelae is thought to be the missing link between Asian and North American tyrannosaurs. This "Coyote Tyrannosaur" lived in modern day New Mexico around 92 million years ago, about 25 million years earlier than the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex. S. hazelae's skull was designed for a powerful bite, and three bones in its feet called metatarsals were pinched together, like its later apex predator relatives. This bundling of bones is supposed to strengthen the ankle, which would have given dinosaurs with such as S. hazelae strong hind feet for running.

This dinosaur was an important part of the tyrannosaur family tree. With further study, paleontologists may be able to paint a more complete picture of the evolution and dispersal of these fearsome predators.
