Thank you all so much for the kind sentiments over the last several days. We are especially touched by the words of gratitude from the musicians and DJs that have performed here, and it is us that owe you a debt of gratitude for sharing your talents and yourselves with us over the years, helping to create a place that would provide lifelong memories for so many people.

It turns out that all the support has forced us to correct a statement we made in a previous post, and that is that our stage has not yet gone dark. Tara and Davey are coordinating a final run of livestreams.

The phone has been ringing off the hook today for some reason. We do have some news to share...tonight’s live stream with Dan Sartain and Western Settings will be the last performance from our stage. Hope you all can join us for the shenanigans.

For this year’s virtual edition of the North Park Festival of Arts, our booking/sound engineer team of Tara and Davey helped put together a local battle of the bands showcase, and our very own SkipperDang, co-hosted a mezcal tasting from our stage at Bar Pink, which will stream on Oct. 29. 10:00am tomorrow morning (Monday Aug 31st) we are gathering at the San Diego County Administration Building located at 1600 Pacific Coast Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101. Supervisor Desmond is holding a press conference where he will be asking the Governor to return control of San Diego back to the County.

After careful review of the new color coding system, we have realized that our industry will never be able to move forward. In fact, it’s set up for us to fail once the regular flu season starts. The concession for 25% indoor capacity at restaurants and the 10% allowed at gyms was in response to the pressure that was put on him last week. He knows it’s not enough for the overwhelming majority of businesses to survive another 3 months.

We need a big group tomorrow to show the state that San Diego is ready to move forward. It’s time to get back to work safely!
