after hours at abandoned theme parks, yes we stayed until it got dark 🌙
some of you may remember I took a trip with a couple friends of mine to New Orleans last year. among some of the experiences we had (exploring an abandoned power plant, seeing the city via the top of the tallest building in downtown, etc.) our visit to this abandoned Six Flags was incredible & eerie af 😅
if you ever get a chance to visit an abandoned theme park.. do it!! 🎡

**the middle photo is a famous landmark, The Saint Louis Cathedral, which is also near one of New Orleans most famous spot for beignets, Cafe Du Monde!! I’d highly recommend getting in line for one! 🤤☝🏽**

being able to live in one of the most vibrant & beautiful destinations in America and then being able to cross a border and be in such a different, yet equally beautiful culture is an experience unlike anything I’ve ever known 🥺

false advertising is very real.. Smitty don’t smoke ci******es & cats aren’t viscous-they actually love lizards 🦎

eating crickets and Tijuana go together like palm trees and the ocean.. 🦗🌴.luckily Tijuana also has beaches, so here’s to a full circle moment, or something like that ⭕️

who woulda thought I’d see so many VW buses out here.. ☮️

I will never get used to this, cause it ain’t what it seems, and nobody checks on me.

the feelin’ of ridin’ with my grandpa around town while he does his errands hits me, and wasn’t something I’d expect to feel so far from home.
he’ll be the same man on Sunday mornin’ as Saturday night ✊🏽

“what’s it like living in San Diego?”

consistently beautiful.
a feeling of summer lasting longer than we’re used to..
from the walks in Balboa Park, watching the sun disappear behind the museums, listening to the crowds fade away 🎶
the trips to San Ysidro to sneak into Tijuana for mini get-aways and cheap taco tuesday’s 🌮
the feeling you get as the sun says goodbye to you, and the rest of the beach, only to introduce you to the quiet, blue glow of ‘la luna’ as the waves crash against the rocks 🌊
the trips to the mountains for peace and the fun sunrise opportunities you get at Griffith Observatory (in Los Angeles) ☮️
the tranquility and unfamiliar safety of laying on your surfboard waiting for the next wave, or just enjoying the companionship of the ocean 🏄🏽‍♀️
.and that just barely captures the beauty this place holds ✨

I wanted to share an old story of me and a few friends deciding one night to randomly drive 8 hours away just to see some mountains ⛰
it’s texas, we do crazy things for mountains out there..
unfortunately we had to cut our hike short because we didn’t bring but one bottle of water 💧😂
