It’s American Red Cross Giving Day. ⛑️

“Unite with thousands of compassionate people like you by donating for Red Cross Giving Day. In moments of heartbreak, your gift gives hope by providing shelter, food, relief items, emotional support and other assistance.”

There are many in San Diego still recovering from those flash floods last month. So many organizations have stepped up to support the victims. Citizens have supported as well by donation and volunteering on site.

The American Red Cross is one organization that understands the Assistance Cannot Wait After a Disaster. If you can give on this , please do.

Giving Day Every eight minutes, we meet a family that has lost everything to a home fire or other disaster—the roof over their heads, their clothes, their most cherished possessions. But you can help during those first devastating hours. Your gift can provide hope and urgent relief, like food, shelter and ot...

It’s St Patrick’s Day so we wanted to spotlight a Woman in Irish History! 🇮🇪

Here’s what we learned…

“Countess Constance Markievicz, the revolutionary politician, rebel and activist. She devoted her life to the pursuit of Irish freedom and women’s rights while championing the interests of the poor and working class people of Ireland.

She was the first woman elected to British parliament in 1918 but refused her seat, and from 1919 to 1922 became the only woman to serve in the first Dáil Éireann as the minister of labour.

She took an active part in the 1916 Easter Rising, offering the following advice to other women who wanted to participate: “Dress suitably in short skirts and strong boots. Leave your jewels in the bank and buy a revolver.””
