Our second social hour of the semester was a blast! Be sure to mark your calendars for the next one on Friday, September 23rd at 12pm. This is a great way for new students to meet new people and maybe win some giveaways!

The San Diego Psychic & Healing Arts Fair on Sunday, Aug 14, 2022 is a psychic fair, health fair and wellness expo. It features psychics, healers, vendors and speakers. Experience readings and healings for yourself and/or buy gift certificates for your loved ones - astrology readings, tarot readings, energy healing. Shop crystals and gemstone jewelry.

Early Bird Tickets are FREE. Tickets are $10 at the Door. Ages 12 and under are FREE. Admission includes access to the exhibit hall & all speakers.

Please remember to bring your passport, DS-2019, and copy or screenshot of your I-94 for the Check-In Reception session at the ISC.

SDSU and the International Student Center (ISC) will welcome 700+ new International Students for the Fall 2022 semester! Help them get acquainted with SDSU by volunteering during the International Student Welcome Reception and events. As noted on the dates below, mandatory volunteer training will take place a week before events.

Dates:

Mandatory Volunteer Training: Friday August 12 @11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.

ISC Welcome Lounge: Monday August 15 - Thursday August 18 @1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.

New International Student Check-In and Reception (Orientation day): Friday August 19

Other optional activities:
- Aztec Night event: Saturday August 20
- Aztec Night event: Sunday August 21

Please select the day(s) and time(s) that you want to volunteer.

On Friday, July 22, the ISC office will be physically closed, but all online services will still be available.

As a reminder, Independence Day will be observed by the university on Monday, July 4.

Due to the holiday, the campus will be closed. There will also be no instruction.

OPT applications are being accepted for students who will finish their degrees this SUMMER (Session 1 and Session 2/T1) and Masters students who need to apply for OPT based on a Summer end date. The first step in the application process is to attend an ISC OPT Application Review Session.

The ISC offers In-Person Open Advising Hours! In-Person Open Advising is offered every Tuesday 2:00 pm-3:30 pm; if you cannot attend our In-Person Open Advising, no worries! You are welcome to attend Virtual Open Advising on Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30 pm- 3:00 pm.

Reminder!

All exams will take place during the times listed below. No final examination shall be given to individual students before the regular time. Any student who finds it impossible to take a final examination on the date scheduled must make arrangements with the instructor to have an incomplete grade reported and must take the deferred final examination within the time allowed for making up incomplete grades.

The International Student Hold has been added to Fall 2022 Registration in WebPortal. If you will study at SDSU in Fall and have not fulfilled the health insurance requirements for Fall 2022, please buy the JCB insurance or read the April 4 email for more info. Please note that after you complete the insurance requirement, it can take up to 5 business days to have the hold removed.
