Memories of our visit to the Nasawe’sx indigenous reserve in Gaitania, Tolima.

We are lucky to get our hands once again on an excellent natural processed red bourbon from this resilient community that managed to escape the armed conflict in this region of Tolima and found its peace and stability in the production of specialty coffees.

If you haven’t tried it yet please don’t miss it this time. This coffee is a limited lot successfully grown and processed by Justiniano Paya at his farm “el marchito” … very vibrant and distinct with notable red fruit, chocolate and orange in the cup, it’s a real treat.

Dedicated to the amazing coffee in Colombia, and bringing it to the coffee scene of Greater San Diego, Yipao Coffee will be a stop on Caffeine Crawl route 5 on the 27th. Yipao’s Pacific Beach location will be the host location, but they also have a coffee bar at Kairoa Brewing in University Heights.

Professionals and amateurs who love the world of specialty coffee, from December 7 to 12, we will be offering a SCA Certification course in San Diego.

Earn your SCA Certification and take your coffee knowledge to the next level with the Specialty Coffee Institute's Coffee Skills program.

Our friend Johnattan Vazz Matias is a certified SCA trainer, coffee consultant, and has worked with several cafés in Europe and Latin America. John will be visiting SoCal, and we will have him at home sharing his knowledge. It’s a great opportunity for all those who want to improve and grow in their knowledge about coffee, from baristas, roasters, coffee shop owners to coffee-lovers enthusiasts.
