Fed "Getting Closer" to Rate Cuts
After friendly inflation readings throughout the second quarter, more Fed members are signaling they are "getting closer" to cutting interest rates, with growing odds of a cut happening at their meeting on September 18. Inflation and labor market data between now and then will play a pivotal role in this decision.

☀️ Good news on the horizon! As of May 2024, home inventory is up 18% since January 2024 and up 35% since the same time in 2023. With sellers re-entering the market, home buyers will find it easier to discover their future homes.

📊 The Federal Reserve announced they will keep the federal funds rate steady for the 7th straight time.
Here are your top three takeaways from today's meeting:
1. The federal funds rate is holding in the range of 5.25% to 5.5%. (This is not the same as mortgage rates).
2. Despite inflation approaching the goal of 2%, the Fed does not yet feel confident enough to cut rates.
3. The Fed is prepared to maintain the current target federal funds rate for as long as appropriate.
