We’re making a ton of progress building our new dojo on Taraval street—ceiling beams in, drywall up! Follow along for more updates and consider donating to our gofundme to help! (Link in bio)
20+ people at practice tonight, and there is room for more.
San Francisco Judo Institute’s new dojo will have space for two full-size tatami with a sub-floor (rather than the mat-on-concrete we’ve grown accustomed to training on) as well as showers, ADA compliant bathrooms, and enough time slots to accommodate classes for kids, beginners, and even other martial arts and classes!
We’re asking for your support to help make it happen. Please consider contributing to our GoFundMe to help build a modern dojo designed specially for advancing judo in the San Francisco Bay Area. https://gofund.me/658ac69f
For years, San Francisco Judo Institute has operated without a permanent home. After months of searching, we’ve found it. Just across the street from our original dojo on Taraval & 35th avenue, we’re building a permanent home for judo in San Francisco.
As a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of judo, we’re asking for the community’s assistance to help offset costs for permitting and construction as we begin this journey. https://gofund.me/658ac69f
