FEATURED WINES
RED
2021 Samuel Louis Smith ‘Escolle Vineyard’ Gamay Noir, Santa Lucia Highlands, CA
This wine is exquisite, with notes of red and blue fruit, flowers and wild herbs on the nose. Strawberry, blackberry and spice notes on the palate. This wine is light to medium in body with great acidity and slight tannins. Sam sources his fruit from high elevation, cool climate sites that are sustainably and organically farmed. With minimal intervention, his wines let the grapes speak for themself and really showcase the terroir.
WHITE
2018 Domaine Paul Meunier ‘Chorèmes Blancs’, Centernach,
Côtes du Roussillon,
Languedoc-Roussillon France
Paul Meunier grew up in Burgundy but developed his own label in the Mediterranean Languedoc-Rousillon region of southern France
A blend of 80% Macabeu, 20% Grenache Gris. This wine has lifted aromatics, with savory notes of olive oil and dried herbs. lovely body with excellent richness, yet bone
dry and long. With time in the glass, the aroma and flavors of stone fruits emerge.
From a single parcel of vines planted as a field blend in 1950. The vineyard is plowed by horse and certified organic. A rare and remarkable wine from the south of France.
