His Brazilian roots add a unique flavor to the mix and further distinguish his playing from that of his contemporaries. Menezes' songwriting sparkles as it switches between straight-ahead blues and funk-flavored workouts, and his vocals channel the deep emotional content of his songs as effectively as his guitar playing.

Thanksgiving day! We like to thank all Biscuits And Blues fans who supported us over the years. For all musicians around the country, we thank you for all those memorable years since 1995. Coming up in 2022, we will reopen. A lot of you out there are anxiously awaiting. We feel the love every time we get your email, iMessages or Vm. As soon as our neighbor upstairs stops leaking into our space and we can ascertain health safety for attendees, we will let you know the potential reopening dates. Although our big date rest with the jury trial on April 11, 2022, we are relentlessly working to pick up any slacks just in case we can reopen sooner. Please know that our blues community will not let others bully us into oblivion. The next few months will be critical for us to come together to let the world know why one of the best blues club west of Mississippi will need to come back to live and become a true staple for the blues for years to come. Please stay tuned.
