This is Omer Balva.

Omer fell on October 20th, 2023, while fighting in northern Israel. Omer cared deeply for others, and was always generous, kind, polite, and compassionate to every person he encountered. He was gifted, an incredible friend, a wonderful son, and had the spirit of a warrior.

Omer’s family has chosen to continue his legacy in hopes that everyone will be as kind as Omer for a better world.

This year, two $5,000 grants will be awarded to organizations dedicated to tackling social challenges and driving positive change in Santa Clara County.

Heartbreaking news 💔

Amiram Cooper, Haim Perry, Yoram Metzger and Nadav Popplewell.

These are the names of four hostages who were abducted on October 7 and killed a few months ago while they were held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

Their bodies are still held in captivity.

May their memory be a blessing.

We light these candles, part of project, to honor the lives of Moshe Dudner, Leon Weintraub, and Max van Dam z”l.
It is crucial, especially during theses days, to keep this memory alive, to never forget and to make sure that never again.

For the babies who never grew up.

For the children whose parents were murdered in front of their eyes.

For the grandparents who never said goodbye to their grandchildren.

For the 6,000,000.

Tonight at sundown we will mark Yom Hashoah (Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Day).

We will never ever forget.

Today, Consul General had the honor to host 20 Pastors from various churches across our region. It was a significant gathering for the consulate, filled with diversity, having leaders in the Asian, Black, and Latino communities. The conversation was powerful and uplifting, as well as a great manifestation as to the extent that the support for Israel reaches in the Bay Area.
