The Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco (CCC)'s NFT art auction was a success.
Their hard work paid off. In a big way.
Artist Heesoo Kwon was a hit. Two of her pieces (one shown below) sold for almost $10K each.
These are her first NFTs minted on our platform.
Big news. We launched a new service to secure NFTs today.
What is it? 🤔
A new Root of Provenance service.
What the heck does this mean?
Although blockchain technology helps record the transfer of ownership, it cannot verify the origin of the NFT, such as the identity of the creator or the security of the creator’s signing key.
Today, digital art buyers must all too often play a guessing game to determine the authenticity and security of works they are purchasing.
Our Root of Provenance service provides independent third-party verification of the signing key used to create the NFT, virtually eliminating these concerns.
Where’d we launch it?

Christie’s and Sotheby’s (established art institutions) embraced NFTs.
Their 2021 NFT sales have surpassed $100M.
Glad they did?
NFTs can help established art institutions by expanding their offerings and customer base.
Adding art NFTs makes for a more comprehensive offering to an organization’s existing customer base.
It can also pull in new collectors, especially those attracted to digital media such as millennials and more progressive collectors (tech and crypto whales with deep pockets) who are looking to invest and diversify their portfolios.

PS: Beeple (pic below) sold an NFT for $69 million at Christie's.
Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco (CCC) is hosting its first EVER NFT art auction.
Pretty sweet.
Guests can start bidding on October 20th and will have the option to join in physically or virtually on November 3rd.
CCC will host an onboarding workshop for collectors and interested members of the public on October 27th at the Chinese Culture Center for those unfamiliar with NFT’s.
Why is this event so special?
The auction will showcase our technology.
Our technology verifies the real-life identity of the creator as well as the cybersecurity protections of the NFT.
CCC and its partner organizations have a network of widely exhibited artists that will mint NFTs for the auction. Among those artists, Heesoo Kwon and Bijun Liang.
CCC is bringing its A game for this auction. Big names. Lots of fun too.

CCC & Heesoo Kwon are NFT trailblazers! 🙌
Say what?
Assessor Greg Gogates audited the Chinese Cultural Center of SF’s capabilities to verify the creation of NFT signing keys.
CCC was ALSO able to witness artist Heesoo Kwon create her NFT signing key on a Ledger Nano S.
Why is this important? 🤔
Because collectors can be sure the NFT was actually created by the artist they think it was, and the artist practices good security so there's less risk of forgeries going forward.
Our technology verified this NFT signing key two Thursdays ago during a key creation ceremony.
After the ceremony we took this picture in front of Heesoo’s installation at CCC to commemorate the first NFT signing key verified by Wivity Root of Provenance.
