Jay Silverheels was born on Canada's Six Nation's Reserve and was one of 10 children. He was a star lacrosse player and a boxer before he entered films as a stuntman in 1938. He worked in a number of films through the 1940s before gaining notice as the Osceola brother in a Humphrey Bogart film Key Largo (1948). Most of Silverheels' roles consisted of bit parts as an Indian character. In 1949, he worked in the movie The Cowboy and the Indians (1949) with another "B movie" actor Clayton Moore. Later that year, Silverheels was hired to play the faithful Indian companion, Tonto, in the TV series The Lone Ranger (1949) series, which brought him the fame that his motion picture career never did.
Silverheels recreated the role of Tonto in two big-screen color movies with Moore,The Lone Ranger (1956) and The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold (1958). After the TV series ended in 1957, Silverheels could not escape the typecasting of Tonto. He would continue to appear in an occasional film and television show but became a spokesperson to improve the portrayal of Indians in the media.

Three very interesting women warriors were Buffalo Calf Road Women who was Cheyenne, Pretty Nose was an Arapaho Chief, and Gouyen who was Apache. Buffalo Calf Road Woman was a warrior for the Cheyenne and fought many battles in a leadership role. She also fought in the Battle of the Little Big Horn. She charged Custer, grabbed his saber and stabbed him, knocking him off his horse, killing him, according to Cheyenne Elders. Buffalo Calf Road Woman wasn't the only woman warrior at Little Big Horn that day. Arapaho Chief, Pretty Nose, fought there, too. She lived to 101 years and her grandson also served in the Korean War as a Marine and later became an Arapaho chief, just like his grandmother Pretty Nose. Another woman warrior was Gouyen. She was Apache and rode with Geronimo. Her first husband was killed in a Comanche raid. Gouyen tracked the Comanche Chief who killed her husband back to his camp, where she found him watching a victory dance. Gouyen slipped on a buckskin dress and joined the dance. She then seduced the chief and they went back to his teepee. She killed him with his own knife, stole his breechcloth, his moccasins and his horse. She rode back to her tribe and gave the clothes to her dead husbands parents, to prove she had avenged his death. She later fought with Geronimo and was still with him when he finally surrendered.

At the age of 24, Taylor enrolled in the Western Australia Academy of Dramatic Arts, committing himself to an acting career from there on out. He made his screen debut shortly afterward with an appearance on an episode of the drama series "The Flying Doctors" (Nine Network 1986-1993), and landed his first regular television role just one year later.
Taylor joined the Australian soap opera "Home and Away" (Seven Network 1988-) for a 20-episode stint, playing the scheming romancer Nicholas Walsh. She attended Chilocco Indian School, then in 1894 was sent to Carlisle Indian School, Pa. where she remained several years with her half-brother Harold (oldest of Quanah's sons) and her half-sister Neda.
At Carlisle, her name was spelled at first "Juanada" until it was objected that she was not Mexican or Spanish. She was baptized under the name of "Annie" in 1895 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Carlisle, but nobody called her that.
Wanada attended the Fort Sill Indian School for about a year, about 1903, living in a girl's frame dormitory.
In 1908 she married Walter Komah, a Comanche. They went to Mescalero, N.M., where he died of tuberculosis in 1912. Wanada returned to Lawton shortly after that. She worked at Fort Sill Indian School as assistant matron while her sister Alice was a student.
In 1915 she became a nurse's aide at the Fort Sill Indian Hospital and it was during her work there that she met her future husband, Harrison Page. He was a white soldier in the Medical Corps assigned to the Station Hospital at Fort Sill. They commuted by street car during their courtship and were married on Dec. 18, 1916.
In her later years, Mrs. Page attended the first Parker Family Reunion at Fort Parker, Tex., in 1953, when the Indian Parkers of Oklahoma and the white Parkers of Texas held their first annual get-together.

Clint Eastwood is a famous American actor, film director, producer and composer, famous for his flourishing career in the entertainment industry. Born on May 31, 1930, in San Francisco, California, Eastwood rose to fame in the 1960s for his role as "The Man with No Name" in Sergio Leone's "The Dollar Trilogy" of spaghetti Westerns. He further solidified his status as a cultural icon with his role as Harry Callahan in the "Dirty Harry" film series, which began in 1971. Eastwood's career spanned more than six decades, during which he received won many awards, including multiple Oscars for best film. Director and Best Picture for "Unforgiven" (1992) and "Million Dollar Baby" (2004). Known for his stoic screen presence and tough personality, Eastwood has also directed and produced such critically acclaimed films as Mystic River (2003), Gran Torino (2008) and American Sniper (2014). In addition to his film work, Eastwood also dabbled in politics, serving as mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, from 1986 to 1988. His contributions to cinema and his influence on Popular culture has made him one of its most respected people. and long-standing figures in Hollywood history.

The friendliness and character of Comanche people was always clear within their villages. They enjoyed plenty of good conversation and great humor. It was certainly clear that Comanches lived life with a fondness for their community.
In 1857, the American western artist George Catlin observed their strong adoration for the spoken word.
Catlin penned the following:
" the wild, and rude and red - the graceful (though uncivil), conversational, garrulous, story-telling and happy, though ignorant and untutored groups that are smoking their pipes - wooing their sweethearts and embracing their little ones about their peaceful and endeared fire-sides; together with their pots and kettles, spoons, and other culinary articles of their own manufacture, around them; present altogether, one of the most picturesque scenes to the eye of a stranger, that can possibly be seen; and far more wild and vivid than could ever be imagined."
