All participants of the Spelling Bee contest received their ordered prizes - books and stationery supplies. Then they celebrated this wonderful event at a pizza party 🍕
Congratulations to our incredible spellers!

Let’s take a moment to feel proud of our students’ achievements and express gratitude to our outstanding teachers and their impactful instructional approaches!👏

🌻Growing Love for Art
Yesterday, we held an Art Presentation dedicated to the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. The presentation was prepared by students from the 3rd and 4th grades under the guidance of Tatiana the Art teacher.
Also, students of 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades presented their own reproductions🎨 of the most famous Van Gogh’s artworks.

🇺🇸Last week, high school admission decisions had become known to all 8th grade students of the Bay Area.
⭐️At SFPA, we are very proud to learn that our students have received admission invitations from high schools with excellent reputations and high ratings like 🤩 •Convent
•SFHS Arts
•San Domenico
• Middlesex School – some of the leading private schools in the United States.
Additionally, some of our students have received 💲merit scholarships*, which is definitely an important factor in deciding in favor of a private school.
*A merit scholarship is a financial assistance given to students for their academic achievements, participation in extracurricular activities, leadership skills, athletic performance, or other notable areas of merit. Merit scholarships are often given to students who excel in these areas.
⭐️Also, three of our graduates have been admitted to Lowell High school. This school is ranked as one of the highest performing public high schools in California, and has been recognized 4 times as a National Blue Ribbon School, 8 times as a California Distinguished School, and one time as a Gold Ribbon School. At the Lowell entrance exams, our students scored 100% in math and English👏👏👏 With the 89 points possible, our students scored 89, while the passing score for Band 1 admission is 84.5.
🎉Congratulations to our 8th graders! We are so proud of you! 🥳
🙏We also want to thank the teachers of SFPA. These wonderful people have laid a solid foundation of knowledge for our students leading them to excel. Thank you teachers for your dedication to your job and love for your students!
Keep it up, SFPA! ❤️
❤️👏Great job, SFPA community!
We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in organizing and hosting the Bake Sale, as well as those who supported our students’ idea financially.
🍪Through collective efforts, we raised more than $400! Students will make their decisions on what items they want for the library on the 3rd floor. We promise that everything they planned will be delivered to school shortly!💨
🍀We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with free dress in green! Our students and teachers never miss a chance to get creative 🧚♀️✨
🎓Algebra 1 starts in 7th grade at SFPA.
Last Tuesday, San Francisco residents voted for various propositions, including measure G: “Shall it be City policy to encourage the San Francisco Unified School District to offer Algebra 1 to students by their eighth-grade year and to support the School District’s development of its math curriculum?”
By a huge margin, people voted in favor of returning algebra to the 8th grade after a decade-long experiment failed to provide the equity-minded results the SF USD pledged upon removing it in 2014.
⭐️We are very proud to remind everyone, that Algebra 1 starts in 7th grade at our school. By the middle of 8th grade, our students begin Geometry, which is a 9th or 10th grade subject in SF public high schools.
With 8-10 math classes a week in our middle school, no student is left behind, and every one of them makes their personal academic progress ✨
Today, during the Pi-Day celebrations, our students demonstrate their love to math by participating in fun math activities. As educators, we are delighted to see our students’ enthusiasm and willingness to be challenged in math!
☀️Dear moms, grandmothers, and SFPA teachers! We congratulate you on the International Women’s Day and wish you warmth in your hearts, smiles on your faces, and happiness shining in your eyes ✨
May your families be filled with support and understanding, and may all your efforts lead to success! Thank you for actively participating in the life of our SFPA community! ❤️
🧸Here’s how we celebrate the birthday of the famous American writer, Dr. Seuss. He authored numerous beloved children’s stories, which we hold dear!
Every year in early March, SFPA students and teachers commemorate the author’s birthday by recalling favorite tales, portraying beloved characters, and - most fun of all! - dressing up in pajamas.
It seems like many of us adults could use such a day at work 🤓😁
Valentine’s Day at SFPA 💕We’re wearing pink and red, crafting card boxes, and exchanging heartfelt greetings! 💌
Students follow their regular schedule but enjoy plenty of thematic activities throughout the day ❤️
🦜On Monday, students from 3rd and 4th grades visited the as part of their science education. They were accompanied by teachers and some parents — for which we extend a special thank you! 🙏
Charming and exotic animals, curious plants, interactive areas — the kids had an unforgettable time and learned a lot about the world around them. And who says that learning is boring?😉
Happy Birthday to Eleonora Nayberg, the Head (and Heart) of SFPA! 🎉🎂
Mrs. Nayberg has guided our school for 22 years with grace and unwavering dedication. Under her visionary leadership, San Francisco Pacific Academy has established a strong focus on mathematics, leading our students to excel in competitions and standardized tests. 🏆
The SFPA team extends warm birthday wishes to Eleonora on her special day, January 27th! Her thoughtful approach in building our team has united exceptional educators who not only instruct but also create a welcoming, motivating, family-like environment within SFPA.
We know, that beyond the school walls Eleonora’s nurturing spirit shines through her love for tending to indoor plants. Here’s to wishing our Head of School the same vibrant and flourishing energy as her cherished flowers! 🌸✨
A lesson from professional archaeologist, Dr. Catherine Demos 🏺 A truly surprising experience for students in grades 5-7 who are studying History at SFPA! 🤩
Dr. Demos brought with her samples of ancient pot shards, and reproductions of cuneiform tablets and ancient seals that children could touch 🙌 She shared lectures about her experiences at excavation sites around the world, and engaged the kids in discussing ancient cultures there’ve been studying at our school.
🏛️This was truly an enjoyable event that put children in touch with ancient cultures and the real archaeological work that goes into studying them.
Movie Night at SFPA 🍕🎬
After a week of hard work, it’s time to unwind! Students from various grades, with friends and siblings, enjoyed a night of fun – from watching the Winter Show recording to The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Pajamas, pizza, and good company made it a memorable evening. Thanks to the parents who made this event a blast ✨
Of course, the most anticipated guest of the celebration — Ded Moroz!🎅
🎄We are delighted to present a real winter fairy tale to our students, even in warm California 🌴
❄️Winter Show 2023 was incredible! Our students showcased their talents — singing, dancing, reciting poetry, and even playing musical instruments 🪈✨
🎭The wonderful performance based on the fairy tale "The Snow Queen" was truly magical! Our characters proved that kindness and friendliness are the keys to success ✌️
