VING TSUN KUNG FU - open everyday by our dedicated teaching disciples & students. Also spelled as Wing Chun, Wing Tsun, and Ving Chun. It is direct and simple.
VING TSUN is a system of kung fu that uses the least amount of energy (or effort) to get the job done. Trust this system and it will guide you into a better martial artist and more importantly a more honest human being.

In the world of kung fu, how much earlier you started is meaningless if you were not training and excelling. Don't confuse historical seniority with magical skill. I will go with the eager and diligent practitioner everyday over the history dweller.
As we reach our Senior (or Seenager) Class' year-1 milestone, here is a repeat post for the 4th time from VTS!
Kung Fu is everyday self-discipline. Discipline is simply rooted in training, discovery, and testing. Imitation is not the way.
Happy March 1st!
We need 200 more subscribers to reach our target milestone. Please SUBSCRIBE. Episode-3 is coming soon, too.

Happy Thanksgiving to our Martial Arts Community worldwide.
Happy 30th Anniversary to VTS (San Francisco 2000-present) and MYVTKF (Philadelphia since March 1993). My teaching started when my Sifu closed his Philly Mo Gwoon and moved to South Jersey in 1990 when I started college.
Key dates of my kung fu journey:
*Saturday, 6 March 1993 officially opened the new MYVTKF School of Philadelphia at 1615-17 Sansom Street with Sigung Moy Yat and Sifu Pete Pajil.
5 June 2000: taught relatives in San Francisco and friends/co-workers in Silicon Valley. VING TSUN SITO was established at city hall.
1 May 2002: taught new people at the Fort Mason Center for 2 years. Met Sifu Wong Jack Man and SF's Martial Arts Community.
June 2004 to 2006: 405 Sansome Street San Francisco Financial District
*30 July 2010: from Grand Opening in SOMA at 897 Folsom Street to present, 13 years strong.
Happy Anniversary to all of my students especially those who actually trained and completed the VT system!
Dear Facebook Friends & Family,
I would like to share this cartoon pilot episode ( #1) called, Kung Fu Caleb. This animated series is about how a young boy randomly meets his future teacher who awakens him with everyday kung fu wisdom.
Click on YouTube link: https://youtu.be/8EDBDnl8Y38
I am happy to finally get this honor and privilege tonight to introduce, release, and share this animated project on the observed birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Many thanks to Sifu Lee Moy Shan (also Douglas Lee) and Aaron Bryan who co-produced this cartoon series. I am delighted to be a part of this ongoing venture as a Content Consultant to entertain and educate our youth with martial arts wisdom and experience that we call "kung fu" using creative writing and animation.
Please view, comment, subscribe, and share.
Thank you,
Victor Chung

Merry Christmas from San Francisco's City Hall
Happy Holidays from VING TSUN SITO. We are looking forward to another year of kung fu, health, and fitness discipline in 2023.
We wish everybody a safe, loving, and fun holiday week into the new year.
WHAT (AND WHO) ARE YOU DOING?
Nothing is more validating of your actual training and your real kung fu than who you are as a person and who you are working to be in all of your relationships. Healthy relationships with nature, other people, yourself, your spouse, your children, your parents, your sifu, your fellow practitioners, coworkers, and your oldest and newest friends matter.
Many martial artists to this day keep using photos, videos, certifications, and examples to prove their authenticity, history, and legacy. This repeated habit hinders present and future personal growth. It becomes like, "the best that we ever had to offer was in our past." Create new memories and breakthroughs with your students (and grandstudents). Cherish the past, but train diligently and masterfully, in the present moment. "Do Human" more with your teacher(s), training partners, and your student(s) too.
In Chinese, we say 做人 "Jo Yan" which literally means "do man" or "do human." Being human requires "doing" civilized, wise, and conscientious things. These things are - but not limited to - our thoughts, our actions, our patterns, and ultimately our habits. Doing anything else without mindfulness is purely our inner animal side. We must constantly "do human" to be human and keep the animal in check.
Interestingly enough we practice to skillfully "fight like a human through Ving Tsun (Wing Chun)." Advanced Kung Fu is about "doing human" more skillfully than others. Therefore 人道 Yan Do (or human's way) becomes a way of life where we keep "doing man" and "doing human" the very best way that we can.
This is the art and science of kung fu!
Another quality session completed before sunrise. Happy Sunday!
If you are not physically training your (martial arts) knowledge, you are just a collector or an historian with an unverified database. Know the difference!

Dear Facebook Family & Friends,
Save the date. I will be interviewed LIVE in two weeks by Shirley L. Ng (from NYC) at VING TSUN SITO for those interested in learning about Fitness, Health, and Asian Masculinity.

Today we celebrate 12 years in SOMA and 22 years teaching, propagating, training, and growing in San Francisco. Special thanks to Mike Tom, Michael Lee, Frederick Wong, Andrew Wong, Galen Chan, Roger Valle, Phillip GT, Chhunleng Tov, Eumir Santos, Alan Hakobe, Zake Stahl, Ron Keith, David Trang, Christian Klug, and Ralph Xiu for serving on our Board and maintaining our Mo Gwoon over so many years.
SITO has always been about the TODAI (students) and not the SIFU (teacher). However, kung fu only organically grows with diligent routine practice and by simply showing up. There is no such thing as "kung fu life" without 師 Si 徒 To.
Happy Anniversary, VTS!
Most don't want to read this, or hear this, but martial artists are very special people IMHO. We are suppose to be "ultra aware of our bodies and of our surroundings." That awareness includes our health and fitness. Therefore how can you be so incredible at your craft - even certified lethal - yet simultaneously oblivious that you are out of shape?
Don't get it twisted. It is not only about how you look but you should know how you are feeling. When you are winded? When you are feeling weak, and/or sluggish, right?
Quite a few people sent me messages about their zen awakening and their new found love-hate with their health & fitness discipline because of a post that I made here over 3 years ago. It was made prepandemic too!

Happy New Year 2022 to Everyone!
强 Keurng 身 Sun 健 Geen 體 Ti means "Stronger Physique (from) Health & Fitness." The Covid lockdown provided us much of the needed time to focus on ourselves to build better bodies via focused health & fitness. Every year puts this back into perspective!
The Eye(s) of the Tiger will be our 2022 as long as it stays awake within.
Sleigh those Bells and have a Merry Christmas!
This photo was 27 years ago at 1615-17 Sansom Street in Philadelphia. I have known most of you for over 30 years now. This post is one of our five Happy Thanksgiving Week posts!

Today not only closes out October but it also marks my 373rd consecutive day of pandemic physical training.
