San Francisco Bay Times columnist and drag legend Donna Sachet is a friend of Vice President Kamala Harris and has performed many times for her over the years. A favorite song of theirs, now a signature for Donna, is "We Can Be Kind" that was written by David Allen Friedman and recorded by the late great Nancy LaMott. Nancy was just 44 when she died of cancer in 1995, but this beautiful song that feels so relevant now is part of her musical legacy. Listen to this performance of it at about the 1:30 mark. And note that Donna still performs it during Sunday's A Drag, now at Club Fugazi each Sunday through September.

What a fabulous Pride parade.
Thank you to everyone who came out to help with the celebration.
Happy Pride!
There is a Sunday's A Drag float in the parade tomorrow and we're looking for a few more walkers. You will get two free tickets to any show in the month of August.
We have a great kickoff time of noon, so you can party tonight and still make the parade.
Please let me know if you can make it. It will be a fantastic time.

It’s with heavy hearts that we have to say goodbye to the man behind Sunday’s A Drag.
Michael Pagan passed away at his home yesterday, October 5th.
Besides being the long time general manager of the Starlight Room atop the Sir Francis Drake Hotel and Harry Denton’s right hand man, Michael was also the creator of Sunday’s A Drag. A drag and brunch show like no other with top drag performers, delicious food and amazing views of San Francisco.
Michael definitely knew how to entertain the people and it showed with Sunday’s A Drag.
All of us that worked with Michael will truly miss him. The man who kept the stars shining bright at the Starlight.
