The Hall is closing today!

Three years have flown by. It really feels like yesterday that we were just tearing down the barricades of 1028 Market Street, which had been boarded up for years. As you know, the Hall has always been planned as a temporary use of space, an innovative and creative way to breathe life into a vacant building while we made our way through the long path towards receiving approvals for our larger project, a mixed use residential and retail site. The Hall has succeeded beyond all of our expectations. From the vendors, some of whom had never had their own restaurant before, to the amazing events (remember the Hamilton night?!?) to the celebrations of San Francisco's exciting events like Pride and the Giants' Parade, the Hall has been home to so many memories over the past few years. But most of all, it's been incredible to watch this space become a clubhouse for the neighborhood: the place that you held your happy hours, your lunch meetings, your engagement parties, even your weddings! We are honored that you chose to spend your time here.

While we are very sad to say goodbye to the Hall, as we reflect on these past three years, we're filled with gratitude for each one of you who helped make this a success: grateful for all the people we got to meet, the art we got to enjoy, the food and drink we consumed. And we're glad to know that we've been part of the positive change happening in the city - giving a space where people could gather to discuss the more challenging issues of our neighborhood, like when the Mayor announced the City's new partnership with HandUP to support homeless individuals, when we partnered with the local police captain to host jobs fairs for those in our community most in need of employment, and when we hosted neighborhood forums on safety and on youth in the Tenderloin. While change is happening quickly in this neighborhood, we're honored to have been able to do our part in making sure that change was inclusive and transparent, in showing that it's possible to do development in a different way - including those affected by change and responding to the local community's needs.

Thank you for believing in us, thank you for coming back over and over and over. Thank you for being our family these past three years!

-The Hall & 1028 Market Development team

It is impossible to thank everyone who made this possible! Shoutouts to our partners and supporters, including:
