As wine lovers ourselves, we are always looking to discover experiences around the world that inspire our programs here at Bin 415, as well as each of you individually. About a month ago, Michael took a trip to Bordeaux, France, and he brought back a lot of exciting findings from his time tasting his way through wine’s 2,000-year-old history and tradition at Chateau Margaux and Chateau Latour.
“We felt blessed to be able to enter these Grand Cru Chateaus as they are not open to the public. We were amazed at how approachable the younger vintages are compared to the classic Bordeaux style. The region has taken a different approach to tannin management, making the younger wines more approachable. Bordeaux has also really invested in micro fermentations of small parcels of the vineyard. It's interesting how with climate change and some adjustments to their winemaking, they are becoming slightly influenced by Napa Valley - meanwhile, Napa and Sonoma are being influenced by Bordeaux and Burgundy to make age-worthy and more restrained wines.”

With every Bin 415 tasting, you can always expect the best flavors and aromas – and our partners at Coravin allow us to savor every bit of it without compromise.
Their wine preservation technology allows us to pour the exact amount of wine needed for our tastings and keep the rest for weeks, months, or even years. Its needle passes through the cork without displacing material and allows it to expand back to its normal shape once removed. As wine is poured, it is replaced with pure argon gas, ensuring no oxygen touches the remaining wine, keeping every luxurious drop as fresh as the day it was bottled.
