Now let’s dive into the highlights...🚀
🤝 Building authentic relationships is essential for creators, evolving them from transactional contractors into loyal brand ambassadors.
💭 Some creators have followings, some have influence, and some just excel at content creation.
🤳 Focus on the style of content you need as a brand, and then the right creators will follow.
🎨 Strict content guidelines are usually not the most effective approach. Instead, establish boundaries and empower creators to excel in their own unique way.
A big thanks to Christina Caruso Nevoso, Lauren Felix (MacPherson), and the entire Bayer team for an amazing event!

Hi! Marco your friendly Linqia starfish here. 👋 There’s been a lot of chatter the last week about the Snoop Dogg / Solo Stove partnership, so I decided it was my turn to join in on the convo.
The ousting of the Solo Stove CEO has resulted in many publications and people pointing to the failure of the Snoop Dogg partnership to drive sales for the company. Some are going as far as saying this is proof that influencers don’t move the needle for businesses. Well, I say folly to you all.
Let’s break this down…
1️⃣ Working with celebrities is an upper-funnel awareness tactic. Brands don’t spend that kind of money on celebrity endorsements thinking they will achieve an immediate ROI, they do it to build highly valuable brand equity.
2️⃣ People don’t need to buy smokeless fire pits all that often, and likely would only do so once or twice in their lives. I know I’m a starfish so I don’t necessarily need one, but if I ever did there’s only one brand that would come to mind and it’s because I saw Snoop talking about them. As far as awareness goes I would say they hit it out of the park.
3️⃣ It hasn’t even been three months since the campaign ran. Even if the brand wanted to see downstream impact that isn’t going to happen in six months, especially given the need for this type of product.
4️⃣ Some of the best marketing campaigns over the last decade have been years where the brand didn’t see growth. How many times did you say Dilly Dilly in 2017 and I promise you Bud Light didn’t grow that year. Would you call that a failed marketing campaign?
This Snoop Dogg campaign only proves how effective creative marketing and the right influencers are at driving awareness and earned media.
I don’t know a single other starfish who knew about this brand 12 months ago, and now it’s the talk of the tidal pool. Keep doing your thing Solo Stove, let the haters hate. 😎

Social media has become an integral part of our daily lives, and we can see its impact everywhere. 🌟 From the way we interact with each other, the products we buy, and how we communicate. 💬
TikTok has accelerated the content cycle 🚀, quickly introducing new trends with unfamiliar words and phrases. 🤔 While it could be tempting to ignore the influx of new language, it’s crucial for marketers to grasp some of Gen Z’s lingo to stay up to date on current social trends and styles. 📲
Put your Gen Z knowledge to the test! 📝
TikTok becomes the first non gaming app to reach $10B, Facebook ends its 55% ad revenue share program with creators, and YouTube hides which channels get a cut of ad revenue.
