Mind-Body Strength Coach
Lauren walked away from tech burnout in 2021 to pursue her passion in coaching and strength training. She is dual certified as a Somatic Coach/Bodyworker and Functional Strength Coach, offering her clients a unique approach to holistic wellness.
Lauren helps her clients develop their own unique sense of self - in life and body - by getting super clear on what they truly want. Together, they develop an individualized plan to not only achieve goals, but also to find purpose in the process along the way.
Outside of the gym, Lauren loves to cook with her family and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible. She lives in Willow Glen with her husband, Tony, and two young boys.

4 Reasons Ring Pull Ups are awesome and you should add them into your training..
1️⃣ Improved shoulder health and mobility- They require more stability than a pull-up on a bar but also add more freedom of movement and a relief to your shoulder and elbow joints from traditional “straight bar” pull-ups.
2️⃣ Grip Friendly and Grip Variety- the rings themselves offer a more comfortable grip as than a straight bar and you can pull in a pronated, supinated, neutral grip or anything in between!
3️⃣ More Muscle Activation - By stabilizing your core to prevent swinging on the rings- it possess a great amount of core and upper body strength.
4️⃣Variety- If your pull-ups have stalled lately add these in for a cycle then go back to normal pull-ups. We bet you will see a substantial improvement in your normal pull-ups. Conversely, if you don’t have your first pull-up yet you don’t need variation quite yet. Stick to the basics pulling exercises and build a great foundation of strength before adding in variety.

Goals change, INTENTions change, but training should always be enjoyable (unless it’s for sport). That is what makes fitness sustainable for life.
My goal isn’t to sn**ch the most weight possible like I used to but I still enjoy doing a weightlifting variation once a week. I enjoy weightlifting for the art of it; as it lets me express power, speed, coordination as well as mobility to name a few. This is a reminder that just because your goals change (current goal is to run a sub 20 minute 5k) and you may not be able to perform a particular movement or skill to the max potential that you once could, doesn’t mean you cant still train it because you enjoy it. I do it because I love experiencing fitness, moving my body and all of the amazing things I can do with it.
