This is truly an amazing event for our community of creative small businesses + enthusiasts + all the people who make our events so wonderful to experience. Just a genuinely joyous celebration of friendship, spending time with friends and shopping for things for our friends (and, let’s be real, ourselves too). What started as a small-scale event / weird way to subvert Valentine’s Day season has since grown into one of our core flagship events and more importantly, one of our biggest ways to bring together our community to celebrate our friends and ourselves.

We're so incredibly amazed at how many of yall came out over the past three months to support our first pop up outside of San José. It was truly fun and it was truly wonderful to see how many of yall share our love for tiny objects and art pieces. A celebration of smol lol.

👉🏽 Important Update Regarding This Weekend's Winter Wonder Market. We're all setup and the event is ready to go for this weekend. The event is still on. However, unfortunately, we discovered late Friday night that the venue double booked the venue this weekend with another event (sports cards and collectibles).

Obviously this is a very challenging and frustrating situation and we apologize for the abruptness of this all but we wanted to share with you while you're potentially planning your attendance of the event.

Given that both events are proceeding in the venue space, this Winter Wonder Market event may feel very different than what our attendees are used to or what was originally planned. Nevertheless, we’re committed to putting on a fantastic event, and we’re grateful that we’re still able to do this wonderful event with minimal disruption.

Please expect some traffic delays around the venue, especially between 12 pm and 3 pm. Additionally, please note that there are a lot of vendors at this event who are not our event's vendors (we still encourage you to shop them though!). We mention this so you don't think that our event has somehow morphed into a sports cards and collectibles event. Also, due to the other event's planned programming Sunday should be the less busy of the two days.

🧥 "I am really excited to feature our newest jackets co-designed by myself and the artisan from my mom’s town in Mexico: Tepatitlan, Jalisco. An embroidery that my own grandmother knew how to do but reinvented and modernized to that artist’s style."

Most pieces are from the collection of each artisan that is art created and passed on from generation to generation. 🩷 "La Luna Designs was born out of my necessity, as a new mom, to start to feel like myself again. When I become a mom, it was hard to find time for yourself and to do the things I likes. So, learning how to make polymer clay earrings became my "me" time, and still is. Making earrings quickly turned from a hobby to a business when I found myself making more earrings than I could wear. The rest was history."

👩🏽‍🎨 "I love designing and making my jewelry because it gives me the opportunity to be as creative as I want to be! I make one of a kind, statement, colorful and fun earrings that allow people to express themselves through their accessories. And it brings me so much joy to see a person connect with my pieces!"

🌛 "I also love to include my culture in my business and I do so by incorporating it into my branding. La Luna references the “La Luna” card used in Loteria, a Mexican game similar to bingo. I also have 4 women on my earring cards that are icons to me. Maria Felix, Selena Quintanilla, Celia Cruz and Frida Kahlo. All of these women represent Latinx excellence and were women I looked up to as a child and still do to this day."

On June 25 and June 26, San Jose Made (SJMADE) will have its first ever film festival and art market at The Tech Interactive and its IMAX Dome Theater. You can pay what you want for your ticket (starting at $5) which includes an IMAX viewing as well as entry into the art market and all The Tech Interactive exhibits, including their brand new exhibit Solve for Earth.

The film showcase will feature local filmmakers' short films. Reclamation marks the very first time San José based filmmakers will have their work viewed within the IMAX dome–an iconic landmark in our city.

The art & craft market will feature artists and makers who incorporate sustainability in ways that are prominent in their creations, missions and their processes. In addition to selling their work, these makers and artists will be offering thematically relevant workshops, activities and/or demonstrations at their booths.
