A return to Watsonville Obon where we celebrate the lives of those who came before us! 'Vendors' actually refers to Artists and Crafters' and we are more than happy to join in and bring our products that express the Japanese American and Asian American Culture and Heritage! We can't bring everything from our San Jose Japantown storefront so if you have a special request, please ask! We don't want to disappoint!

As we near Obon season, do you have your kachi kachis?

It is Obon season! A time to celebrate those who were here before us, by observing this Buddhist tradition of appreciation for being. Join us in this annual celebration at Watsonville Buddhist Temple! We will join several other Arts and Crafts vendors with a pop-up! Please let us know if there is anything in particular that we should bring!

We still have tickets for sale at the shop! San Jose Japantown is so unique as we have a dedicated group of musicians who perform only Japanese songs! Chidori Band was formed to provide live entertainment to hard working Issei and continue to this day to provide LIVE music at functions such as summer Obon festivals. This is their annual concert-please support!

Just got a nice order of Kirstie's Kookies! Just in time for Father's day and graduations! Yes! stock is good! But always: please call in if you want several jars! And always: preorder for those trips away! Don't want to disappoint, we are only one of two locations that carry Kirsties!

More good things! 3 anonymous donors bought a total of 6 tickets for this concert to be donated to Seniors! Happy to turn those over to Yu Ai Kai! What a thoughtful thing to do! It is so: WIN-WIN!

Mother's Day is coming up! We just got in a bunch of new designs and sizes in these denim jackets!

We are scheduled for a Hikari Farms pop-up on MAY 11 (Saturday)! The order form will go up after this weekend, so please keep an eye out as the preorders sell out! We expect Kyuri, daikon, okame spinach and the HF signature greens!

Sunday is Day 2 of the Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival! We are delighted to be among vendors who enjoy sharing Japanese culture and heritage! Stop by and say hello! We LOVE April! Our second pop-up this month is at the amazing Cupertino Cherry Blossom festival! We will be in the Senior Center with other vendors who focus on Japanese themed products which celebrate cultural and heritage. We can only bring what fits on a table-so please let us know what we should bring!
