Summer Enrichment has taken off for the summer. Our Bruins are involved in awesome STEM Activities, Immersed in literacy, and so much more. Check out the images below to get a glimpse of our first week of fun. You will see wind powered cars, students diving into the wizarding world of Harry Potter, ESports, and the amazing art created by our Bruin Artists. Our Bruins even had the chance to create a Father's Day Gift for the special Dad in their lives. Second week of Enrichment Camp started this Monday, be part of the fun by joining us Monday-Thursday at Austin Middle School from 8:30-12:30.

Check out the incredible Art work our Bruins created under the direction of our Fabulous Art teacher Mrs. Figueroa and in collaboration with our Amazing teachers. Students across all content areas enjoyed coming to the library for a gallery walk of our First Annual Stephen F. Austin Middle School Art Display. It was a wonderful experience for everyone that showcased our Bruin Artists.

Mrs. Figueroa would like to thank Maribel Barrios, Michelle Quiroz, Noemi Davila, Jasmine Mireles, Edith Valverde, and Librarian Kanie De Leon their help showcasing and displaying beautiful works of art made by their wonderful students. You are amazing....The setup was fantastic thank you very much for our successful First annual Stephen F. Austin middle school art display.

Congratulations to all our Bruin Athletes. You have worked hard in and out of the classroom, and we are proud of all your accomplishments. As you move on to high school we look forward to seeing you excel in all of your athletic endeavors. Remember that you are and always will be a Bruin.

Gracias a los padres y tutores que acompañaron a nuestros alumnos en la ceremonia para reconocer su desempeño en el programa de Lenguaje Dual.
El sendero académico que este grupo de alumnos incursiona es ejemplar pues llevan clases tanto en inglés como en español para desarrollar sus habilidades en los dos idiomas ya que ambos son igualmente valiosos y les ofrecerán múltiples oportunidades en el mundo actual.
Deseamos que continúen en el programa esforzándose como hasta ahora para que se gradúen de la preparatoria siendo bilingües, biletrados, y biculturales; así estarán mejor preparados para alcanzar el éxito en la sociedad global del siglo XXI.
Estamos orgullosos de nuestros alumnos, agradecidos con sus cuidadores por su apoyo, y les deseamos la mejor de las suertes en el próximo capitulo de su vida estudiantil.

Thank you to the parents and guardians who accompanied our students at the ceremony to recognize their performance in the Dual Language program.
The academic path that this group of students embarks on is exemplary as they take classes in both English and Spanish to develop their skills in both languages since both languages are equally valuable and will offer them multiple opportunities in today's world.
We hope that they continue in the program, striving as they have done so far so that they graduate from high school being bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural; this way they will be better prepared to achieve success in the global society of the 21st century.
We are proud of our students, grateful to their caregivers for their support, and wish them the best of luck in the next chapter of their student life.

Austin Middle School tuvo el placer de recibir a diversos miembros de nuestra comunidad durante el Día de Carreras y Profesiones del programa AVID.

Entre ellos estuvo Ms. Brenda Cantú de Telemundo 40, quien habló a nuestros alumnos acerca de su labor y responsabilidad en los medios de comunicarnos y de la importancia de desarrollar sus habilidades bilingües para así obtener más oportunidades en el ámbito profesional.

How Cool Is This...Our Bruin Choir went to Six Flags and competed in music at the park festival. The competition was tough, but our Bruin Choir came out on top. They placed first overall among the other 6 middle schools who were in attendance. Mrs. Simmons, their choir director, and our Bruin community is very proud of their accomplishments. Way To Go Bruins!
