These two bought a 7” Ube cake for the first time last week at the They hadn’t had my Ube before. It was for her birthday and she was very hesitant to buy it. She, and everyone else loved it so much, she made sure everyone knew the website. She said she’s going to order a 9” next time she needs one!😊🥰
Making my debut today at the California Ave farmers market in Palo Alto today! Come say hi! Or tell your friends!
By popular demand the Pineapple Hennessy is going to go into the regular farmers market rotation, to celebrate, and since it sold out so fast last week, we’ll have it again this weekend.
Last weekend to get the Pineapple upside down cheesecake…for a few months. Should I drop it into market rotation? We’ll be at all our markets this weekend, old Oakland, San Ramon, Castro Valley and West Oakland.
This is the current form of the Pineapple “Upside down” cheesecake. I did a taste test Wednesday and found it it needed a touch of salt up top to cut the sweetness and compliment the crust. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I love figuring out ways to make other dessert flavors into cheesecake.
Experimenting this weekend. A friend posted a and pineapple upside down cake to Facebook a few days ago…and I was inspired. So we’re going to take the chunks and Hennessy and put them in the filling of the cake, use the pineapple juice, brown sugar, crushed pineapple, and heavy cream to make a topping and put it all on a crust. They’ll be available at all the markets in limited quantities. Old Oakland (9th and Washington, 8-2 Fridays) Castro Valley (Castro Valley Bart, 9-1) San Ramon (Bishop Ranch Shopping center, 9-1) both on Saturday, and West Oakland (1809 Peralta, 10-2) on Sunday.
Congratulations to the San Francisco 49ers on making it to their 8th Superbowl appearance. Get your cheesecake orders in now for your parties, and don’t forget that Valentine’s Day is 3 days later on Wednesday.
My favorite order for the holidays, ordered a 9” Original with strawberries for the family, and a 3” vegan Original topped with strawberries for her daughter who’s allergic to dairy and nuts.
The people have spoken, you can now pick up Christmas Eve day from my kitchen. Get your orders in now!

For buying my cakes. For telling friends, family and coworkers they need to do the same. For all the wonderful compliments you’ve given me over the years. I absolutely love making cheesecakes. And I love my friendstomers. We’ll be back at the markets on the 8th, 9th, and 10th.
Happy Thanksgiving week! It’s almost time for cheesecake. We’re waiting for you. See you when you pick up your order. I have a couple 7” cakes (New York Style and Pumpkin) for sale as well, in case you forgot to order.
If you didn’t remember to order for thanksgiving, we’ll have some 7” New York style ($55) and 7” Pumpkin ($50) Cheesecakes the markets tomorrow for sale along with our usual personal sized market cakes in a variety of flavors.
You have until midnight tonight to be sure your order for November makes it onto my fancy spreadsheet. Any orders placed later are risking not being accepted. Link in bio. Tell your loved ones, tell your friends, tell your frienemies, it’s too good to keep to yourself and you know it.
Get your order in by November 10th, so your cake makes the list in the first pic, goes in the fridge like the second pic, and gets boxed for pick up like the third pic. And you don’t bring a cake like the 4th pic and end up disowned by people that used to love you.
November 10th, two weeks from now, is the last day to order for November. Thanksgiving is the 23rd and i will be closed November 24th- December 5th for my annual birthday break. I will sell out for Thanksgiving, please place your order early so you can be sure to reserve your cake. Pick ups will happen at any market the weekend before turkey day, and at my kitchen in Hayward, Monday-Wednesday from 10am-5pm. Thank you for all of your support.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
We begin our story with our founder as a young boy whose favorite hobby was picking fights with his older brother. As one would expect, this drove their mother crazy – until she figured out a trick to keep her two young boys quiet, for a little while at least. She started baking cakes, encouraging the boys to help in the process. Once the cake was in the oven she told them they had to be quiet or else the cake would fall. The two young boys weren't quite sure what that meant, but it did not sound like a good thing. So the boys would be quiet while the cake baked, and while the cake cooled, and maybe a few minutes more while they ate their homemade treat. As a result of his mother's subterfuge our hero came to enjoy baking, cookies sometimes, but mostly pound cakes. He didn't like cheesecake, not yet, but that would change once he finally had his first slice. When he discovered the subtle taste of cheesecake, he fell in love with the gentle sweetness that used sugar as an enhancement to flavor – not as flavor itself. He began ordering cheesecake wherever it was available, vowing to one day learn how to bake his favorite dessert.
Then, late one fateful night, our hero found himself alone and bored. There was no one to talk with on the phone, and no friends on AOL Instant Messenger. He decided to do that which he had vowed and learn how to make cheesecake. He found a recipe, bought the necessary ingredients, and made his first cheesecake. It turned out wonderfully. For the rest of the year our hero would bring cheesecakes with him whenever he attended a group event. He kept refining his technique, and picking up tips along the way. He began selling his cakes to friends, family, and those in the know. And the rest, as they say...
