At Urbane Cafe, we believe in spreading kindness and building connections. Our owner, Tom, often pays for the person behind him in line. Recently, he did just that for Deborah in Burbank. A few weeks later, they ran into each other again at our Arroyo Grande location, and she was so excited to introduce him to her friends!

Cheers to 20 years! 🥳 Today marks the 20th anniversary of Urbane Cafe. Tom created Urbane Cafe out of the need for a delicious and healthy meal made with fresh ingredients that didn't weigh you down. Since day one, our goal has been to create delicious and healthy sandwiches, salads, and bowls that leave you feeling nourished and satisfied. The CCSS (Chimichurri Steak Sandwich) Support Group was founded to show their passion for the chimi, hoping it would make it back to our menu. Their efforts were successful, our chef revamped the recipe, and you made it one of our top selling sandwiches! What else would you like us to bring back?

You all know how delicious our focaccia bread is, but did you know how it's made? It's starts the day before with our freshly made dough which is weighed, rolled into a balls, and placed into a doug box to rise overnight. The next morning it's brushed with rosemary garlic oil, rolled out to the perfect size, and seasoned with salt. The bread baker will take the rolled out dough and placed it into our hearth oven to bake for about 5 minutes, and that's it! Freshly baked focaccia bread now ready for the perfect sandwich.
