So excited to add Kristen to our team! She’s been a stylist in Utah for 5 years. We are so lucky that she chose to make Bluebird her new salon home. She specializes in blondes, balayage, and mens cuts. She is also certified in multiple extension types. She has a few appointments left in july if you want to brighten ☀️ up this summer.

Sooooo I keep getting asked what the differences are between these 3 products. Here’s a little pk from my brain to you!⁣
⁣
𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵-is a dandruff shampoo. Meant for dry, flakey, itchy scalp. Or if someone reacts to color it’s great too. Lowest PH in the line (PH of 4). Also great for curls since it closes down the cuticle. It replaces a shampoo 2x week (depending how often someone washes). Follow with desired conditioner.⁣
⁣
𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻-meant for over active oily scalp. A client who washes daily and needs their oil production to simmer down. Has manual and chemical exfoliation. Manual with the raw sugar crystals and chemical with salicylic acid. It’s only intended to use 1x/week max. Replacing a shampoo and following with conditioner of choice. Can be too aggressive for those with sensitive scalp or only dealing with product build up but not overly oily. ⁣

𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 (NEW)-cleanser for those who have product build up (not necessarily overly oily or dry but everyone). Mix product with water in hand since it’s very concentrated. Uses AHA’s to cleanse the scalp much like a facial. No manual exfoliation. Think like a gentle peel. Much more hydrating for the hair as well. ⁣

I have been doing hair since 2012. I have worked all over the place from West Hollywood to London and Austin tx. Through all my hair adventures I have gained so much knowledge and have had some of the best experiences working a long side some of the best in the industry. What I love the most about being behind the chair is making women feel beautiful. I specialize in blondes and lived in color. I am also deva curl certified along with tape in extensions and hand tied wefts.

Let’s spend this day to reflect on those that are still fighting for freedom and equality in a nation built on the beliefs that, “all men are created equally”.

We are so excited to announce this new talent to Bluebird. .hair comes to us all the way from Oregon. She has 3 years experience as a stylist, but wanted to perfect her skills by assisting too. Her skills are 🤤 worthy. You can catch her behind the chair on Fridays.

It’s been brought to my attention that my previous post was offensive, so we have taken it down immediately. It was never my intention to hurt anyone, or to be disrespectful. But intention doesn’t matter, that fact is I have hurt people and that’s not cool, or ok in any way. My privilege let this slip past my radar, I am ashamed and truly sorry. I took my love for Asian pop culture, appropriated it, and put it out there without thinking of others. As a white man I literally didn’t do the easiest thing that is being asked of me, especially in our current climate. Again I am ashamed and sorry. Bringing awareness, being anti-racist, being anti-fascist, are things I believe in passionately, and with that post I failed those beliefs, and failed at being the most basic ally to the Asian community. My shame and embarrassment will stick with me and I promise to work harder fighting systemic racism; not just in the world but in myself. To the people I hurt personally, with this I deserve all of your contempt, and I expect no forgiveness with this apology. I can only hope my future actions in this fight will regain your respect. From the bottom of my heart I am so sorry.
