Ceramic artist Gary Roth lives in Redwood City with his wife Sabine and their rescue dog Finny. He also lives with a brain tumor, and while this has slowed him down physically, it has not stopped his creativity. Our hospice team has been supporting Gary and Sabine since February.
“We feel so well taken care of by Mission Hospice,” says Sabine. “As a caregiver, I don’t feel so alone anymore.”

Families often ask us where hospice care is provided.
In most cases, hospice care is provided in your home or the home of a loved one. You can also receive hospice care in hospitals, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities. Mission House, our hospice house in Redwood City, is an option for patients at the end of life who need intensive, round-the-clock symptom management that cannot be provided at home. The house also offers a safety net for patients whose caregivers need extra support – reducing hospitalizations and offering families the emotional, spiritual, and bereavement support they need.
We can help you and your family find the best place for hospice care. Our outreach team would be happy to talk with you or your family - just get in touch with us at outreach mission hospice.org or call 650.554.1000 or 408.554.2434.
Join us Wednesday at 6pm for an hour of guided mindfulness meditation. We promise it will improve your day!
