Downtown Event Recap: Thanks to City of San Mateo Parks and Recreation and San Mateo PAL, the Bark in the Park event earlier this month was a fun time for many dogs and their families. Check out our photos -- there are quite a few, and a lot of smiling faces. Can you find yours?
Devin Roberts, thanks for the great photos!
Sunday blast from the past: Benjamin Franklin Hotel, 1947.
Heads-up: On Monday, there will be some impacts on 2nd Ave. for the B Street Pedestrian Mall Improvements Project.
The City of San Mateo's contractor will be grinding and repaving the roadway on 2nd Ave. between B St. and Main St. Work will start early in the morning to avoid dinner peak times, complete the work as quickly as possible, and minimize inconvenience. (approx. 6am-6pm)
Here are the impacts:
- Road closure from Ellsworth Ave. to Claremont St.: Includes temporary parking and loading zone restrictions Accommodations will be made for anyone who needs access to businesses and the Pedestrian Mall
- Main St. Garage access is recommended for access via 1st Ave. If needed, entrance via 2nd Ave. may be allowed, via attendant
- Pedestrian detours: Sidewalk access to businesses will be allowed at all times
We appreciate your patience as we improve the City's Downtown infrastructure.
Thanks, The Edna Collective, for your post on A2 Wine Bar! (117 S. B St.)
