We belong to Rotary International, a member driven service group that helps communities at home and abroad. Found in almost every town in America and around the world, we pride ourselves on our motto, 'Service Above Self'. Putting time and money into projects, Rotary International continues to work on eradicating polio and building clean water projects all over the world. In the United States, local clubs support communities of their choice through volunteer time and financial donations.

We're excited to announce our speaker for this Thursday's Zoom meeting is our State Senator Mike McGuire. District 2 runs from the Golden Gate Bridge all the way north to the Oregon border, which is a pretty broad demographic. However, we will ask Senator McGuire to try to focus his talk on Marin as much as possible.
Fellow Marin Rotarians - please feel free to join us.
If you're not a Rotarian but want to know more about us and our activities, you're welcome to join us as well!

"Working the Farm"! This past Saturday, we got our hands dirty volunteering at one of the Sanzuma's school farms located at San Pedro Elementary School. We were joined by family and members of the Harbor Rotary Club as we tilled the soil, dug up weeds, created planting mounds, sorted seeds, and planted seedlings. It was full circle for some of our members as we noted a plaque on the greenhouse commemorating its construction in 2001 by Mission San Rafael Rotary. Sanzuma is dedicated to increasing the availability of freshly grown foods through gardening and urban farming, improving health, and reconnecting people with their environment. We were delighted to financially support their mission as well with a $3000 donation. Learn more about Sanzuma: https://www.sanzuma.org/
We'll be back again in March. Feel free to contact us if you want to join us!
Through our PolioPlus program, grants from The Rotary Foundation, and our service projects our members are taking action to improve lives at home and around the world.
