This Wednesday, we had such a great session where we explored some powerful insights and practices for empowering therapy animals through the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki.

We were so blessed to have contributions from Dawn Wrobel (Journeying with Dawn) who shared her many years of experience with therapy animals, Nancy Crowe (Nancy Crowe - All Creatures) who sent in two valuable tips and Alice Rugheimer who offered a wonderful summary of the book, "The Horse Leads the Way: Honoring the True Role of the Horse in Equine Facilitated Practice." It sounds like this book would be a great primer for working with therapy horses!

Here’s a quick overview of what we covered:

1. The importance of maintaining a loving and non-judgmental presence when working with therapy animals and how to build trust and connection with both animals and their caregivers.
2. Using Reiki to strengthen relationships, not just with the animals but also between caregivers and animals. Tune in to hear a beautiful story of how this technique transformed the care of a neglected horse by fostering a trusting relationship between the animal and its owner.
3. The importance of aligning with a place that shares your values and approach is crucial. Dawn also provided practical tips on how to approach these centers.
4. Powerful methods to offer support to therapy animals that go beyond traditional techniques.
