Ready for some holiday festivities? The second annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Center Bishop Ranch takes place this Friday, November 22 at 5 p.m. The 50-foot Shasta Fir tree will be adorned with nearly 14,000 lights and ornaments in a celebration that includes holiday-themed events for the whole family, including live music, hot cocoa and cider, magical snowfall, complimentary gift wrapping, and more.

I'm deeply sadden to have heard of another su***de in San Ramon Valley. That is two within the last month and just a few months back a leader in our community and I had sat down to talk about this very topic...

A quick search led me to an article stating:

"Su***de is the third leading cause of death among teens, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.

Between 2007 and 2015, the su***de rate has doubled for teenage girls and increased by 30 percent for teenage boys.

Cal High counselors aim to take the initiative to address student problems, which include su***de but are not limited to depression, anxiety, and other concerns that appear in the daily lives of students.

Bev Edgren, a crisis counselor at Cal for 19 years, believes that stress, if not managed, can eventually lead to depression and may entertain thoughts of su***de within a student."

The latest news I got wasn't even a teenager. He was a member of our community, a Rotarian, and a loving soul that worked with special need kids...

It only leads to me ask... what the heck is going on here and what is being done to address this??

I urge this community to come together and take more seriousness in supporting and helping our future leaders!

MedShare is a 501c(3) humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, communities and our planet by sourcing and directly delivery surplus medical supplies and equipment to communities in need around the world. They help increase health system capacity and drives sustainability by providing biomedical equipment training and service to healthcare organizations and medical professionals serving populations in need. As well as providing deliveries of vital medical supplies and equipment have decreased our nation’s carbon footprint and brought health, healing and the promise of better lives to 100 countries and countless patients.

As San Ramon Young Professionals and future leaders of tomorrow, it is our duty to be the facilitators of social impact – to serve a social purpose and to make a positive contribution to society. We are requesting the services and support of Sunset Development/Bishop Ranch for a non-profit outreach and community development as we bring MedShare Bishop Ranch for a lunch-and-learn seminar for the purpose of community exposure. We have a loving and caring community here in Bishop Ranch. Members care dearly about giving back to their community – paying it forward. Supporting MedShare will allow everyone that is not a healthcare professional to give back and have a physical impact in saving lives in their community and around the world.

This event will lead up to a community service day led in April by SRYP as we to go out and help sort medical supplies and equipment so they are inventoried and made readily available to be shipped out for delivery and use within our community and communities of need around the world.

California's first driverless bus hits the road in San Ramon History was made at a quiet street corner in San Ramon Tuesday as a little red bus pulled out onto a public road with nobody at the wheel.

Duties: Helps build our social media platform. Not just posting events but we want to be an influencer and thought-leader for YPs. Thus, posting vital articles and topics that would bring value to our YPs.

Duties: Helps build sponsorship package and different tiers of sponsorship. Works with our VP Corporate Relations and Events to see which of our corporations and vendors would be interested in being a sponsor.

October 19, 2017 - San Ramon Chamber of Commerce's 25th Annual Wine & Dine. Volunteers are needed to help run this event. Must be at least 21 years of age.
