Sharing on behalf of Council's Product Program:

Every troop participating in the cookie sale needs a Troop Cookie Chair (TCC). The TCC must:
be listed as TCC for their troop in myGS
be registered for 2024-25 and fingerprinted
complete the new mandated reporter training (in gsLearn) before taking cookie training
take cookie training (also gsLearn) before getting access to Smart Cookies
get access to Smart Cookies in order to place their troop's initial order
place troop initial order by Saturday, 1/11, 11:59pm
There's not a lot of time between when TCCs start getting Smart Cookies access and when the initial order is due. If your troop doesn't yet have a TCC, get started on that ASAP. If your TCC hasn't taken the new mandated reporter training, have them do so before cookie training launches on December 17th.

Per Blue Book requirements, our National CEO Bonnie Barczykowski and National President Noorain Khan have approved a three-month lift of our organization’s fundraising ban. Hi Girl Scouts,

I'm Dan Meagher with Diablo Ballet in Walnut Creek.

This November, Diablo Ballet invites your troop members to start their holiday season with us!

https://diabloballet.org/nutcracker-suite/

Experience the magic of live performances with a group trip to Diablo Ballet's holiday hit, The Nutcracker Suite, performing at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Get special Girls Scout $29 tickets for a group of 8 or more to performances on:
Friday, November 15th, 7:30 pm
With seating on either the right or left hand sides of the theatre

Saturday, November 16th at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm
With seating in the balcony
Diablo Ballet's The Nutcracker Suite puts a clever spin on the classic ballet where, on Christmas Eve, Clara and her family check into the Fairmont Hotel's Nutcracker "Suite" for a whimsical adventure that includes the Mouse King, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and even a live snow fall inside the theatre! The performance runs approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.

Following the Saturday, November 16th, 2:00 pm performance, your scouts can join the Diablo Ballet costumed dancers in the lobby for photos and other fun! Please note that this only happens for the November 16th 2:00 pm performance. For more information, click here.

But just like those tasty gingerbread cookies, this special price won't last forever! $29 group tickets for a group of 8 or more are only available through November 4th. After this date, the price increases.

These tickets can only be ordered through me (not online or by calling the Lesher Center) For questions, please don't hesitate to be in touch with me at (925) 943-1775 x2 or [email protected].

We look forward to sharing the holidays with your scouts! Thanks!

Youth Voices Task Group Application 09/12/2024

Youth Voices Task Group (YVTG) Application
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSceLfclM1ppvcNTGeibqvZbHQplxXRD0nWB1qVyDI7mM_3cHA/viewform
What is the YVTG?

The Youth Voices Task Group is a committee comprised of current girl scouts from across the greater Norcal area with the goal to provide youth perspective on council decision making. It serves as a forum for current girl scouts to discuss problems, ideate solutions, and pursue initiatives for council policy to reflect scout perspective. We are looking for members who represent the diversity of GSNorcal, representing a variety of regions, leadership styles and identities. YVTG is an incredible opportunity for passionate Girl Scouts to provide their opinions on council policy and help make the change they want to see. We also offer opportunities for all council Girl Scouts to share their concerns with the task group regardless of membership as the Task Group co-chairs also serve as Board members and can relay concerns directly to the GSNorcal Board.
At this time, we are accepting applications from Girl Scout Ambassadors and Seniors only.
Please fill out this form with your information, and we will get back to you soon.
Thank you in advance for helping the YVGT thrive,
Saisha Pal and Reese Furhman, YVTG chairs
