I've lost 16 pounds in the last 4 months, but not a single one of those came off of my thighs, what the heck!

Getting up and going this morning took a little extra effort, but I did it and got a workout done. Thinking I'll be dragging though by this afternoon. But the weekend was totally worth it!

I have been on some meds for my high cholesterol, one of the side effects is sore joints and muscles, if you know me, then you know I already have a few aches and pains, so really didn't need any help. I tried the medications hoping that the side effects wouldn't happen to me, boy was I wrong, for the last few months I have had some very bad pain. I've been dealing with it, still doing all the things I love, just gritting my teeth a lot and groaning quite a bit. Well, I finally had enough, couldn't sleep and couldn't even enjoy my down time, so I talked to my doctor and we have taken me off the mess. This morning was the first morning in a long time I have been able to move and not want to cry. It's still not good, but it's better. Hoping when my system is clean of all the meds, I will be feeling more like myself.

It's all about the core on Fridays. Backs been giving me fits, so need to get the core strengthened up so the back doesn't take all the pressure! Hope everyone has a great Friday and even better weekend!

Played a little softball last night, then up at 6 for some cardio, like I didn't get enough last night...lol. Getting my workouts on point and have gotten my eating habits under control. Please with my progress so far, looking forward to getting my health and fitness on track!

This girl couldn't sleep, so got up at 445, got a cardio workout in and is now just relaxing before she has to use her brain for the day.

After an active weekend, this girl was up at 6 to get in some cardio with a few weights mixed in. Hip and back are giving me fits, but I shall persevere! Just have to modify to help strengthen and stretch the sore spots. Slowing down and letting the aches and pains control me will never be an option!

Went for a walk/run on the Bay trail, my percentage or running compared to walking is getting so much better. Happy with where I'm heading.

Feeling the hike/run and softball games from yesterday. Workout was quite a chore, but I did it!

Getting my butt out of bed yesterday was a big chore and the workout was slow to say the least, but I did it. Today was so much better, body is feeling better and workout was done at 100%! Hopefully softball next week won't kick my butt as much!

Played first softball games of the season, first and foremost, had the best time, I was in my happy place, but that being said, once again I found muscles I forgot I had. It was quite a chore to convince myself to get out of bed and do my workout, but I pulled up my good girl panties and soldiered thru! I always feel better after the workout, helps stretch things out.

I've been MIA for a bit, trying to figure all this out. This getting old sh** is for the birds, extra weight, extra emotions and not a lot of energy. So, much to my dismay, only at first, I caved. I have gone to the doctor and gotten a little help. I was not very happy with myself, but then I realized that I need to do whatever is needed for my happiness, my health and my fitness. I am now happy with my decision and am feeling much better in my own skin. I am still working on getting my supplements figured out, but my workouts seem to be going in the right direction and I have got my eating under control. Not a lot of weight loss, but clothes are fitting better and body is getting more toned.

It took me a bit to not be judgmental about my choices, but once I realized that it's okay to get help when needed, I took it and made it work for me.

Now that I'm back on the right track, I will start posting more and letting you know what I am doing and what works or doesn't work for me.

Another morning of having trouble getting up and getting going. Since I've been sleeping better, it's harder to get out of my warm bed....lol. But, I'm worth the work, so it was up at 5, weights for 30 minutes and cardio, Beat Boxing style!

Up at 5, 30 minutes of weights, 30 minutes of cardio, beat boxing style, and now getting lunches all together! Start of a new week and a new me. Gotta get myself back to my happy and healthy place!

Feel like I did really well this week. Worked out religiously, had only 1 eating slip and slept pretty good. Lost 2 pounds so that's a good sign. Even with my back giving me fits, I got up and got to it! This weekend I am putting together a new and improved workout schedule and will get back to my Barre classes with the lovely Devyn next week. Trying to make sure my workouts are a good mix of what my body needs to get fit and healthy.

First hike of the year in the books. First few times shall only be a brisk walk for me, need to get the ankles and knees accustomed to the uneven ground, but soon I shall add some running into my hikes until I can run the full trail. Now it's home for some rest and relaxation and maybe a little drinkie-poo. Can't wait for some yummy homemade chicken noodles tonight!

Stretch pants day in and day out, lots of comfy workout clothes and refusing to buy larger pants when you've gained quite a bit of weight while going thru the change. Getting old sucks for so many reasons, but I shall not let it get me down! I am working hard on myself and getting things where I am comfortable in my own skin once again! Being open and honest with myself and those around me helps keep me on track and may help those in the same place I am in life. I shall keep trying different things and different methods until I get what works for me. Please remember to never give up on keeping yourself healthy and happy.

After a weekend of hard play with my ladies, I was still able to get up at 6, do my tabata workout and an ab workout, even did it twice! Body feels great, which means I feel great!

May have FINALLY found my combination! Down 3 pounds this week, I have slept all night long the last few days and if I had hot flashes they were mild so I didn't notice. Not sure if it's something specific or the combination of what I am doing, but something is working, so am super happy. Taking my Happy Juice, doctor has me on a low dose cocktail of HRT and I've added some collagen, some different vitamins and such and changed up my workout. I know it all seems a bit much, but my health and and frame of mine is totally worth it. Sometimes it takes a bit of hit and miss to find what works for you, never giving up is the key.

Up at 6, switching up the workout a bit. Sometimes it feels as if I'm starting over all the time, but in reality I'm working on finding the perfect combination for my ever changing body. Getting old isn't for the faint of heart, but I won't take it lying down, unless of course I'm getting a much needed deep tissue massage....lol

Back was not having it this morning, but I start slow, stretching it as needed and by the end of the workout it was feeling pretty good and was letting me go full sp*ed.

Up at 5, dog p*e trails dug out, workout done, I've added mobility workouts and they seem to be helping as I'm pleasantly surprised my back didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would after shoveling the drive last night.
