On Saturday afternoon, June 28, 1924, a tornado struck the downtown waterfront and traveled east through neighborhoods, taking the lives of nine people and injuring many others. The storm continued all the way to Lorain, where 78 people lost their lives and hundreds were injured. We remember those lives and this tragedy.
