In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife and cat watching comedy shows. Right now their favorites are Bob’s Burgers, Abbott Elementary, and Welcome to Flatch. He believes that laughter is very important to mental health and we should all have a good laugh every day.

Let's welcome Amanda Lente, MSWI to our team!
Amanda graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from Utah Valley University in 2018, and is set to graduate with her Master's in Social Work in 2023 from Boise State University. In 2016, Amanda started working with the Department of Corrections where she gained experience working with adults in various stages of moving through the criminal justice system. In 2019, Amanda began working with the Division of Child and Family Services, and now works for the Office of Licensing. In 2022, Amanda provided therapy at the Asian Association of Utah, and primarily worked with refugee and immigrant clients who had recently entered the United States.
Amanda has experience with foster care and adoptions, victims of crime and abuse, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and is passionate about ensuring that all individuals and families have the tools and space available to grow and heal. She uses the modality that best fits the client, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or Solution Focused Therapy. Amanda enjoys working with teenagers and adolescents, and has experience working with trauma and stress disorders, mood disorders, and dissociative disorders.
In her spare time, she tends to a room full of plants, and enjoys hiking and spending time with friends and family. She loves to travel when she can, and finds New York City to be a home away from home.
Amanda is accepting new clients and she does not have a waitlist!
We've observed this time and time again through our years of working with children. It's often hard for the safe parent, adoptive parent or other caregivers to understand. Hopefully this provides some explanation as to why this happens.
Let's welcome Jacob Hereth, MSWI to our team!
Jacob graduated with his bachelor’s degree in social work from Utah State University in 2016. He has since worked with populations ranging from youth in residential treatment, to individuals who are on hospice. He is currently in his last year of his master’s degree in social work at the University of Utah. Jacob has a passion for helping others as they process their mental health concerns, whether that be trauma, anxiety/depression, or processing loss. He uses the modalities of CBT, DBT, along with Solution Focused Therapy.
Jacob feels a great connection to the outdoors and spends much of his free time on the golf course or in the mountains with his wife and two dogs. He also loves sports with one of his greatest loves being college football. He is a lover of music, and all things nerd, you will not often find him without a Harry Potter book in his bag.
Jacob is now accepting new clients!
We're so heartbroken over what has happened in Texas!
We thought we should share a free resource from A Kids Company About.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.
We support neurodiversity and empower individual differences.
You don't need to feel guilty about putting yourself first. People will always have requests. Sometimes you'll be able to help; sometimes you won't. Set boundaries to validate your own feelings and practice acceptance that you can't control the opinions of others.
Try saying:
• "I don't have time in my schedule right now"
• "I can’t do the entire thing, but I can help with a specific part."
• "Let me think about that and get back to you."
• "Thanks for thinking of me, but I won’t be able to."
• "I’m genuinely sorry, but I can't this time."
Beehive Family Services is looking for a part time or full time therapist. We are looking for therapists available in the evenings and/or weekends but we are flexible with hours. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with children and families as that is our main focus. Beehive Family Services is a newer and small agency which gives you lots of room to grow and learn. We are able to offer supervision to CSW. Competitive pay.
We would like to introduce one of our clinicians, Cristina Pena, LCSW.
Cristina has been a social worker since 2008. Her career started working with adults with disabilities and from there her experience grew to the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS). While at DCFS she worked as a permanency worker, then moved to licensing for over two years.
Cristina obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of Utah. After graduation she started working for the University of Utah infections disease clinic where she managers adults living with HIV.
Cristina also has experience completing international adoption home studies and assisting families going through the adoption process.
In her space time, Cristina likes playing her dog, tending to her flock of seven chickens and in the summer she enjoys swimming and paddle boarding. Cristina also loves to travel as this allows her to learn more about other cultures.
Let's teach our kids that it's okay to ask for help, the best way to do it is to lead by example.
