📢👋Meet the Team!
Benita Huntington, M.S., CCC-SLP is a knowledgeable and skilled speech-language pathologist with 12 years of experience working in the school, clinical and hospital settings.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from UCF and Master of Sciences degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University. She is a licensed SLP in the state of FL and holds an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Benita started working at CFT in January 2024.  She completed instruction in ASL I-IV (working with D/HH population). She loves working with Middle and High School populations on language. Benita also finds articulation work very rewarding.  Unlike most SLPs, she loves working on “the dreaded /r/” and seeing my students/clients make progress!  A future “area of specialty” goal for her includes voice work; specifically, working with singers who are dealing with voice disorders.

Benita was born in Panama City, FL, but raised in Corpus Christi, TX and Sanford, FL.  She recently celebrated her 11th wedding anniversary (5/11) with her husband, Eric.  They have a beloved dog named Luna.  In her free time, she enjoys singing, dancing, reading, and hanging out with family & friends.  

Fun Fact(s): She is a vocalist on the worship team at Northland Church.  She performed live on stage in my former life and once was part of a vocal group that opened for Red, Hot and Boom.

Mallory Muncy, B.S. SLP-A is an attentive and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist- Assistant with experience working with the pediatric population.  

Mallory obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida.  She holds an ASHA Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Certification.

Mallory started working at CFT in August 2023.  She specializes in working with early language and articulation disorders.  

Mallory was born in Sarasota, FL.  She is happily married to Roman.  She has two dogs, Koda and Benny and 2 cats Sven and Willow.  In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, spending time with family and going to the beach.  Fun Fact:  She is fluent in Swedish and has Swedish citizenship since 2019.

Meet the Team!
Aiman Kassam-Daudaly M.A., CCC-SLP is a knowledgeable and skilled speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over 20 years experience working in public schools & private clinics and is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Florida (UCF) teaching in her field.

Aiman obtained her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders (CSD) from UCF. She is a licensed SLP in the state of FL and holds an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

She started working at CFT in August 2023. Aiman is proficient in providing intervention and assessing children of all ages with expertise in Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders (0-21 years), Speech Delays and Disorders, Cognitive Communication Disorders, and
Pre-literacy and Literacy skills for school-aged children.

Aiman was born in New York but also has lived and grew up in London, United Kingdom and Tanzania, East Africa. She is a devoted wife to her husband of 21 years and dedicated mother to her daughter Anisah (18) and her son Ayaaz (16). In her free time, she enjoys cooking and hanging out with her kids at theme parks.

Aiman encourages her patients to put their best effort forth. She tells them “If it doesn’t work the first time, try; try again!”

Elizabeth Shook, PTA is a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant and an integral member of the office staff. In addition to her clinical duties, Elizabeth diligently assists with administrative tasks in the office, ensuring compliance and contributing to the smooth operation of the practice.

Elizabeth has been with the CFT since 2013, bringing her expertise and commitment to excellence for the past decade. She graduated from high school in just three years and pursued her love for ballet and the arts. Elizabeth earned her Associates of Science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 2000 from Seminole State College.

In addition to her expertise in physical therapy, Elizabeth holds certifications in ballet-related disciplines, including American Ballet TheatreⓇ (ABTⓇ) Certified Affiliate Teacher and Progressing Ballet TechniqueⓇ (PBT)Ⓡ up to Level 3. Her commitment to dance extends beyond the studio, as she integrates her passion for movement into her work, specializing in pediatric physical therapy. Elizabeth has a particular interest in developmental pediatrics and has pioneered the integration of dance into therapy sessions, drawing from her experience teaching a dance class for children with special needs.

Outside of work, Elizabeth finds joy in spending time with her family. Married to her husband Kevin for 21 years, they are proud parents to two boys, Rafe (17) and Simon (14), both adopted from Guatemala and Ethiopia, respectively. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, gardening, and engaging in outdoor and cultural activities.

Courtney Mullins, M.S CCC-SLP started her journey with Central Florida Therapy in July 2023 becoming the owner and CEO. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 25 years of experience in the school and private settings.

Courtney is a visionary leader dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of care for children, fostering a nurturing environment, and driving strategic initiatives to promote the well-being of our patients and their families. She has a strong educational foundation from UCF for her Bachelor’s Degree and Nova Southeastern University for her Master’s Degree.

She is proficient in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders, providing personalized therapy plans, and fostering effective communication skills in individuals. Courtney specializes in Adolescent Language, catering to their unique needs with expertise and empathy.

Courtney cherishes the moments spent with her children Ellena (26), Joe (23), Colton (17), and Chloe (13) while sharing their journey with her fiance, Jamie, and their beloved pup, Thor. In her leisure time, Courtney enjoys biking, reading, soaking up the sun at the beach, or exploring her creative side through crafts.

Laura Lee Moran, MA, CCC-SLP is a knowledgeable and skilled speech-language pathologist (SLP) driven to empower her clients and families with their communication needs. She is passionate about coaching & collaborating while providing them with strategies and resources to support success outside of the therapy room.

She earned an Associate of Arts degree at Florida State University and further obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Arts degree from University of Central Florida.

Laura Lee started working at CFT in August 2011 servicing children over the past 12 years.  She is proficient in providing intervention and assessing children of all ages with expertise in Early Language and Phonological Awareness (Lindamood Bell-LiPS, Visualizing and Verbalizing).

Laura Lee is a Lake Mary, FL native.  She is a devoted wife to their husband Mike and proud mother of two sons Noah (24-FGCU graduate) and Griffin (21- student at Palm Beach Atlantic University).  In her free time she enjoys family time, faith time, beach, fishing, home projects, animals, reading, travel, and always cheering on FSU Seminoles (fun fact-she was a cheerleader).

Meet the Team!
Donna Urbina OT/L is an accomplished Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals through therapeutic interventions.

She earned a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University in 1994 and a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2000.

Donna has a career at CFT spanning over almost 10 years since September 2014. She has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to CFT providing compassionate and effective care. Her areas of specialty include Sensory Processing Disorders, Oral Sensory Feeding difficulties, Reflex Integration, and the Astronaut Training Program.

Donna is a dedicated wife to Gustavo and mother of 2 sons Gustavo (14) and Mateo (11), a dog and 3 cats! In her free time, Donna enjoys spending time playing games, laughing, and talking with her husband and children; camping; being outdoors and in nature; doing her daily sunrise yoga practice; and reading.

Kari Fitzpatrick is a dedicated and skilled Office Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality service.  She obtained an Associates in Arts degree and teacher certifications for Early Childhood.  

Kari has worked at CFT since June 2021. Kari works diligently, always going above and beyond to ensure the smooth operation of the office and all the “behind the scenes” work which ensures continuous care of our clients.   She is passionately dedicated to the success of the entire team and works alongside therapists to collaborate, problem solve, and support them.  Kari demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. She works efficiently adapting to changes, navigating obstacles and always maintaining a positive attitude.  

Kari is usually the first welcoming smile seen walking through our doors and helps staff, families and clients to feel honored and respected.  She loves connecting and forming relationships.  Kari is caring, empathic, and compassionate during each and every interaction. She is a crucial asset to CFT, serving as the backbone that maintains the seamless and efficient flow of daily operations.

Kari is also a dedicated wife and mother of her two sons Kyle and Nick. She enjoys baking, going to the beach and hanging out with family and friends.

📢👋Introducing CFT’s Clinical Director!
Amy Angel Tirado, M.S. CCC-SLP is a dedicated and experienced certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) and general/ special education teacher with over 14 years of experience in the educational and clinical settings.

She earned a double-major in Childhood Education and Speech Communication from St. Joseph’s University and obtained a Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Long Island University. Amy is a member of ASHA, FLASHA and a licensed SLP in the states of NY, VA and FL. She is also a member of the special interest group for Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC) and completed the ASHA Leadership Development Program.

Amy has worked at CFT since December 2018 recently becoming the clinical director in September 2023. She is passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities and empowering clients to find their voice. Amy leads CFT with a focus on neurodiversity affirming care, honoring people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and those who have been disillusioned with therapy. She offers valuable insight and support to clients, caregivers, clinicians, and the community to identify unique needs and develop tailored solutions.

Amy is proficient in assessments, consultations, and direct treatment of a variety of speech and language disorders with expertise in assistive technologies (AT) and AAC to facilitate independence and inclusion.

Amy is a Brooklyn-born second-generation Puerto Rican. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her lovable dog Zoey, working out, traveling, being a foodie and getting creative with DIYs and projects.

🎨 Painter’s Tape Artwork: Great Occupational Therapy Activity to focus on fine motor skills, pinch and grip strength, motor planning, hand-eye coordination and sensory play!

Use painters tape on cardboard or canvas to create a design. Apply paint and peel tape once dry.

Artwork is a great way to enhance control, engages mulitple senses, provides an opportunity for self-expression and can be a relaxing and calming activity!

🎄Decorating the tree: Here is a fun seasonal activity to try at home. Create a tree using pipe cleaners and decorate it using different size and colored beads! This activity works on bilateral coordination, fine motor skills, pincer grasp and crossing midline.

October is AAC Awareness Month.
AAC means all of the ways that someone communicates besides talking. People of all ages can use AAC if they have trouble with speech or language skills. Augmentative means to add to someone’s speech. Alternative means to be used instead of speech.
CFT is proud to have SLPs specializing in AAC who help our clients find ways to communicate.

Our primary goal is to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the continuity of care for all our valued patients.
