It was a beautiful day to build a beautiful home for a very deserving family ❤️
Here are some highlights from our 2023 Corazon Summer Camp!
- 156 children and young adults from 5 communities across Tijuana graduated from summer camp this year.
- Activities during this week-long summer camp included a Beach Cleanup, Arts and crafts, First Aid and CPR Training, Gardening and Compost Workshop, Plastering Workshop, El Vallecito Museum Tour, Swimming Exercises, Outdoor Games and Activities, Soccer practice, and more!
- Summer Camp is about bringing our communities together to make them stronger through educational activities that are rooted in community development, teamwork, and creativity.
- When you donate to our Scholarship and Family & Community programs, you are directly supporting educational programming that our children would not have been able to experience otherwise!
- A huge THANK YOU to our sponsors and the 77 Nivel Medio and Superior scholarship students, members of the communities, staff volunteers, facilitators, caretakers, and kitchen & cleaning volunteers for your help in planning and making Corazón's Summer Camp a successful one this year!!

Cerro Azul. Guarderia!!
Mike Savage, immediate past president of Corazón, Inc., spoke to us about the humanitarian work the
organization carries out to serve underprivileged people by building them homes. As a way of introducing Mike and his group of home builders, member Kevin Taylor showed us an outstanding video he produced that explained how homes are constructed in one day! Mike started volunteering with Corazon in 1988. The annual average of homes built is approximately 45-50 homes a year for needy, homeless families. Kevin and his sister, Kimberly King, helped build one in Tecate, Mexico this past February. Great job everybody!
One of the most important things you can do is help others. You can make a difference in a family's life with Corazón! Click the link in our bio for more information
