Talli Richards Versola ‘82 has stepped into the role of President. Helen has moved to recording secretary, Deanna Morinini ‘79 has taken over as treasurer, Gloria Cavallero ‘72 remains the Historian, Leslie Rian Ortiz ‘72 continues on as Executive Secretary and Sharon Keinath Henning ‘74 remains Director of Membership.
Past Presidents serving as board members are Mo MacQuiddy Mason ‘53, Owen Aylesworth ‘44, Norma Perez Marquez ‘68, Laura Davis Wilson ‘67 and Tim Putz ‘63.

2013 Honoree Dr Ellen Simpson, class of 1935.
Ellen dedicated her life to joyfully serving others durin ga long and varied career in medicine and community service. She pursued goals and adventures that were truly pioneering for woman of her time. In 1941 she graduated with a B.S. degree and Public Health Nursing Certificate from U.C. Berkeley. After working as a public health nurse for four years (and getting her pilots license) she was admitted to medical school at U.C. San Francisco at a time when only 12 percent of medical students were women. She had a distinguished career in medicine, specializing in cardiology and pediatrics. She gladly volunteered her services in many places around the world including caring for children with burns and war injuries in Vietnam. She was a pioneer in providing camping and outdoor experiences to diabetic children, who until that time were considered invalids. She helped hundreds of young diabetics realize their full potential in active lives and careers.

Campus Beautification Day 💚

Congratulations to our 2024 Distinguished Alumni, Diana Leach Holland, aka Major General Holland.

Diana, class of 1986, received her award this evening, kicking off Senior Honors Night at the high school.

Her accomplishments and awards are numerous and impressive.
According to Wikipedia: Leach, is a retired major general in the United States Army, who last served as commanding general of the Mississippi Valley Division of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. She is a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. From January 2016 to June 2017, served as Commandant of Cadets at the United States Military Academy, the first woman to hold the position.

The SBHS Alumni Association awarded $223,000 in scholarships today - our most important yearly endeavor. A huge THANK YOU to all those who help make it happen and CONGRATULATIONS to the recipients! Once a Don, Always a Don!
