We've worked really hard these last couple of months to finalize some of our newest learning algorithms to address various problems in synthetic biology, Koopman operator theory, and systems biology. We submitted 5 papers to the ACC, fingers crossed!~ Here are five taglines to describe the five papers (as well as the name of the lead author of the work): [ 170 more words ]

Building Bacterial Computers for Edge Computing
Our lab studies how life enacts mechanisms of control, computation, and learning to engineer robust biological edge computing systems. We seek to discover the governing laws and dynamics that give rise to bio-molecular and genetic control. We seek to understand how single cells, homogeneous populations, and heterogeneous microbial consortia make decisions and enact computational programs. Finally, we aim to understand and harness the forces that control the evolution, and convergence of biological code to give rise to new platforms for bio-inspired computing.
