This Friday we have coach Jorge stepping in the ring to test his skills in Anaheim! We have sold all of our tickets that were sent to us so thank you to everyone for supporting! It takes a team to support and build an athlete up in order for them to take their first amateur fight! We will stand together in Anaheim this Friday and let coach know we are with him! This is an unforgiving sport and sometimes all the hard work you put in doesn’t always give you the results you want. Amon was going into the 3rd down on the scorecards. They were both evenly matched as far as skill, it was Amons will to win that did it for him. He continued to push when they were both drained and because of that will he is now bringing home a shiny belt! Good job kid I knew you could do it!

Support our local amatuer athletes that have been training hard in preparation for USMTO! Both Ventura and Santa Barbara athletes will be traveling to Scottsdale Az for a 4 day weekend full of competition. Athletes have to figure out room, board, travel, medicals, on top of their regular training costs. I have to see an athlete sit out due to financial issues. This Saturday we will be holding a tri tip sanwhich fundraiser as well as selling raffle tickets. The fundraiser will be held at Pu’u Muay Thai Santa Barbara at 12pm! Our good friends will be throwing down like they are known for! Suggested donation is $20 a plate cash only. If you are not able to make it in person we will have deliveries going out until we sell out! Support your local athletes!

A few weeks ago I vaguely mentioned that 2024 was going to bring some change, we are now announcing the coming of the newest member of the PMTSB family! We wanted to wait until we heard the heartbeat to publicly announce it! Today we had our first meeting with the doc and they say everything is exactly how it needs to be! We cant wait to meet you!

Momma said there will be days like this! Dealing with plumbing issues at the gym and pulling my hair out, momma didnt say there would be class like this tho. No matter what problems may be at hand I can count on one thing, that when I step on these mats with these guys and girls I am able to set aside those problems, the energy in this room is phenomenal! Its kinda hard to be stressed! when class is over am able to approach those problems from a completely different state of mind! Im grateful for this community, come experience it for yourself!

This is the first time I have been completely away from the gym for 1 month. Im so grateful for everything Muay Thai has done for my life. The friends im able to make with complete strangers. Even tho I dont even speak the same language you can walk into another gym and feel at home! Teaching a class where somebody had to translate all my words was challenging. I had to rely more on showing then explaining. I can only imagine how the thais feel when forigners come to their gym to learn. This experience was challenging but im so glad we walked into to make friends! Yesterday we made the trip down south for to give 5 of our athletes the opportunity to compete in muay thai and put their skills to the test. We choose to drive the extra distance because this promotion actually understands muay thai. Too many promoters out here saying they are doing muay thai events that dont even understand what muay thai is. Most of the time their refs are mma or boxing officials that dont understand the difference between kickboxing boxing and muay thai to them they are all the same. This promotion has judges and refs that understand the wY muay thai is scored. By the way did I mention it was a clean sweep by the PMTSB crew! Out of 15 rds I think we lost 2 rds of muay thai. Everyone trained hard and really bonded as a team! Beyond proud of this group! Somedays nobady wins somedays half of them win but today everybody did the dang thing!
