Santa Barbara Restaurant Faces Abrupt Parklet Removal Order for State Street Restriping | Local News | Noozhawk Owners of The Daisy restaurant protest last-minute notice to remove outdoor dining space for city bike lane and theater drop-off project
The City of Santa Barbara, in their great wisdom, concern and thoughtfulness for the small business, gave us notice at 4.30pm this afternoon that we have to entirely remove our street seating by Sunday. The preposterous and grossly unkind short notice aside, the City prefer to open the street to cars and traffic; they love big business pollutants! Anyway, all of this means we have 5 tables and ten benches (see photo) to give away! Should you choose to take a table(s) or bench(es), please get in touch. They have to be gone by Sunday lunchtime.
The last of the most wonderful of this season’s tomatoes, atop our galettes with tzatziki, kale, zhoug sauce and pickled onion.
