Mary Did You Know? Worship Dance - Bridge Tutorial Thank you for watching today's video tutorial! The routine is meant for physical prayer and meditation. Reflection:Luke 1:30-33 “Then the angel said to her, ...
Advent 2020 Reflection:
Our focus for this Christmas Season on the Immaculate Conception.
Luke 1:30-33 “Then the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.’ ”
I listened to a homily recently by Fr. Singh of Saint Kateri Parish, and I feel he stated it very well. Below are a mix of some of his thoughts and mine.
We all read this and think, “Wow, how amazing that the Virgin Mary was chosen by God. What great news that would have been!” But as the verses continue St. Luke accounts that our Blessed Mother was troubled and immediately questioned the angel. This was not great news to her. This was a whole weird situation and such news could get her killed! Remember, in that time if a woman became pregnant out of wedlock the punishment was death, and usually by stoning. Even with all that in mind, she submitted herself wholeheartedly to God. She responded with “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.”
The Blessed Virgin Mary did not understand what or how things would pan out, but she did know that could trust in God, and that He would take care of her. She is the fundamental example of how to deny oneself for God’s Glory, submitting fully and without hesitation.
How often have we heard God and denied Him of what he asks? Are there times when we have not understood what “life” is throwing at us, and rather than becoming upset at the world, have instead leaned in to God further for His support and guidance? How can we be more like our Blessed Mother? What does God have planned for us, and how can we do better to sense Him, listen and abide?
God is our Ultimate Protector. He will not forsake us as long as we follow Him wherever He asks us to go. For Mary, her unfailing trust led her to become the Blessed Mother of all God’s people, and her example will forever live against the test of time.
Thank you for reading and God bless!
Hello Ministers and Friends - many thanks for your inquiries and continued interest in our next videos! If you have not already received from our YouTube Subscription feed, the tutorial links are now posted to our page. Feel free to review, pray and worship along with us.
We have a Christmas Project for this Advent season! We would love to create a video and join as many members as possible in Virtual Worship. All are invited to participate in the following ways:
1) Send a short testimony
We would love to know more of your hearts and minds. What did the Lord, Jesus, The Blessed Mother, or anyone in else Heaven speak to you during your time with them? What other thoughts crossed your mind? REPLY to this post or send a message; we will incorporate it into the video!
2) Record yourself
Take time to meditate and pray along with the track attached. Listen to the music and lyrics. What are they saying to you, how does that relate to you personally, what is God telling you, and how can you respond physically? Once you discover a verse that interests you most, please learn or create that section.

Please wear white, purple, and/or dark blue.

Hey everyone! Just a quick reminder our ASL Workshop is tomorrow Monday Night 9/28 at 7p. The theme for this piece is Patience: Not just a virtue. A Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Please email [email protected] to RSVP and receive the Zoom Meeting link. God bless and hope to see you there! https://youtu.be/DZf-6-Xr0rM
Reflection:
We have often heard the phrase "Patience is a virtue." Well more so, did you know that Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit? Just as fruit sprouts from a tree, patience is a natural ability bestowed upon us by God. It is meant to flourish, be cultivated, and given to others. Matthew 13:24-30, presents the parable of the sower and the seeds. Although an enemy plants weeds in the field the sower is not quick to uproot them, lest he uproot his wheat too soon as well. Rather the sower tells his servants that after all has grown together, to "first collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn." This will take more work, but in the end will still harvest the sower's best shareable crop. What weeds have grown around the crops of our fiery hearts? How do we patiently and carefully gather our best fruits, and burn those weeds that seek to suffocate our Light? Our Heavenly Father is forgiving of our transgressions that stem from those weeds within. He is so good that He empowers us with many fruits, including patience - which transforms into the strength to breathe, pray, endure and overcome any adversity. Patience is a true gift not to take for granted or hold within, but rather help grow and sow in others.

https://youtu.be/PF0B99yFEo0 August celebrates the Asenscion of Jesus' Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
One of the greatest miracles our world has been privileged to witness, that the Virgin Mary was assumed by our Lord into Heaven. There are many theological aspects to be taken from this event. One thought I would like to focus on comes from Dr. Christopher West, Th.D, who notes after the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the next whole being currently alive in both body and soul waiting to welcome us in Heaven is our Blessed Mother. To that point, beyond being chosen by God to bear His Only Son and raise our Savior along with St. Joseph, she is further granted the gift of freedom from death. She maintains herself in body and soul, and sits at God’s right hand as the Mother and Queen of our world. She is the prime example for us of grace, humility, and obedience. How may be best commemorate her Queenship; what does she want for us her children? How can we strive to live as she did, most gracious and willing, attentive and faithful to what the Lord is calling for us to do? And how can we become an instrument for Him daily, that we might one day unify with Him together in body and soul as well?
