Here are some essentials for a fun and skincare-conscious 4th of July celebration:

* Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher): This is non-negotiable, especially for outdoor celebrations.  Sun exposure is one of the leading causes of premature aging, so be sure to lather up on sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at least 15 minutes before heading out.  Reapply every two hours, or more often if you're sweating or swimming.  Choose a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen for the best protection.
